Anyone watch the latest episode of Only Connect?

Why is the lady on the Parishoner's team staring down at what looks like a giant ipad the whole time? She looks like she's furiously googling all the answers!

She was blind.. and those were the clues in braille.

That had actually occurred to me, but the way she looked up and towards Victoria after each question made me think she wasn't.

And how could they put picture clues in Braille

Only Connect returns in 2018 in its new timeslot of 8pm on Mondays starting on New Years Day.

A new series of Christmas University Challenge starts tomorrow (Sunday 24th December) on BBC 2 at 8pm.

It continues on Tuesday at 7.30pm

Can the next series of Only Connect be far behind ?

(I know this is the wrong thread, but UC and OC are practically interchangeable at this stage and this was more recent!)

They promised it will definitely be Mondays! But it's a shorter series than usual, so I think won't start till October.

Q was - the phrase "Terrific Tarriff Agreement" has how many pairs of letters?

Now, I count four (unless I've spelt something wrong, in which case I'm scarleh!) but the answer on the show was three?

I don't think there is one. I've always used this thread.

I didn't like the green lipstick but she was clever and did make a good captain.

Thirty-two episodes? Damn, that's going to take us until at least the end of May :O
Considering it was starting so late this year relative to UC, I'm very surprised we're still getting a decent season length!

So how complicated is the tournament structure going to be this year?

Got a fair few this week ("Means", Dan Brown Novels and BTTF).. but both walls stumped me!

So, apparently the format is back to the modified double-elimination, but what sort of bonuses are in store to pad the season out to 32 games as opposed to the 27 this format was before?

Also, couple 3's this week; not a hope of a 5 yet. First wall was great, second was bleugh. And a high-scoring missing vowels!
