Uhm, not excusing his behaviour but then going on to do it! The ref bottled it totally, should never get a big game again, full back pinned down, punched, had his helmet ripped off and hit a few times with it? And not sent off, You're not the ref by any chance? Looked terrible on TV and seemed to put ballygunner off their stride for about 10 mins after... As an outsider wouldn't think much of passage, or Waterford refereeing after that incident...

Bit Harsh to be blaming All of Passage for the actions of one man especially seen as he's a blow in.

I found it amusing earlier somebody said Waterford refereeing is very soft and it totally changes when you get outside the county. Aside from the fact that somebody was able to puck the head off an opponent on not get sent off, I've heard the same spoutedabout the Cork championship. This is the same Cork with three refs on the inter county circuit.

Ballygunner were very unlucky last year when you consider they were only 3 points down with 5 minutes to goagainst the all ireland winners, and they were missing the two Mahonys and Peter Hogan whou you could argue after Sunday are their three best players. Looks a stronger competition all round this hear potentially but if they get over Thurles I think they will go along way.

Do you think they should be more attacking Munster?

Yes I understand that the replay couldn't have been foreseen but the fact that one replay results in a situation like this means there is something inherently wrong. The winner of this match will be representing the Co at a wider level and are going to be severely disadvantaged by this situation.Maybe I am being a bit harsh on the Co board but it just feels like the clubs are being let down again by the powers that be.

Its a broader issue in the gaa though, think the individual county boards themselves have to work with a poor hand often times.

He got more than he bargained for with Kelly, not excusing Kellys behaviour but Coughlan pulled him and dragged him down to the ground. Living on the edge the way Coughlan does, trouble is never too far away

No if I was a ref I would have given both of them a straight red

Things needed to be sorted so clubs and players can have time to plan things.. Fixtures set in stone . Tell the county manager no change in that weekend. Your training camp will have to be changed. Do a master fixture list and how about having alternative dates if replays accrue, don't just throw a fixture on a few days notice for clubs.

Why are we having replays at all? Every games should be finished on the day including the All Ireland Finals. Can't see the money grabbers at top agreeing to that though. That's the only way a master fixture list will work.

And as I have said before, the focus of the GAA has to go back to the clubs scene, what they claim they are all about. But it wont happen because at the end of the day money talks.

The hilarious thing is that whenever the argument of money from replays is brought up the GAA spout that the money is funnelled back into grassroots. But if they keep going the way they are going all the will end up doing is damaging the grassroots.
Only a small minority of clubs receive any money from Croke Park. I'm sure most clubs would sacrifice the replay money to have their club games played in a structured and timely manner.

Has there been any updates on the CPA. Can clubs and individuals sign up for it?

I read somewhere that the Galway Senior Hurlers are back training already and have done similar to what Derek and co did for 2015 and got rid of a few of more experienced players and brought in youth

Any rumblings from the Waterford camp ??? whos coming in, whos leaving

The money thing It is the most idiotic reason for not finishing games I have ever heard, if you want more games just f**king organize a better competition structure rather than trying to 'engineer' more games to be draws, talk about having your priorities backwards!

Big win for Lismore last night but it's an absolute joke they must turn around and play Munster club 48hrs later.

Surprised Lismore left their best players on the pitch for most of the game even though the game was over by half time. Ray Barry lucky not to get a red card and big melee ensued. Maybe Lismore were going to celebrate anyway and make the most of it seeing as getting back to senior was the main objective and they were given so little time to prepare for the Munster campaign. It's a pity cos they have a good chance of winning Munster. That said, I wouldnt be atall surprised if they beat Bandon.

Bandon looked very good in the cork county final but fermoy also looked horrendous in it at the start. Hard to judge the quality of cork club hurling though. I think lismores short turnaround makes it 50/50 tbh and if Lismore are interested in munster they should get the win.

I dont know if they went on the beer yesterday but they hardly broke sweat anyway, they looked on a different level completely and they should nearly still be able to beat Bandon

Ray Barry got injured and was taken off. Strange you forgot to mention that.

A total farce!!! Anyway the best of luck to Lismore. Hope they can win Munster. Lismore is up against it v Bandon, especially with no time to recover. Well done to Ballyduff Lower on a great victory against Kilgarvan. Best of luck to Balyduff in next round v Grange-Ballybacon.

The logic of your post is ridiculous. Having had to get ready both mentally and physically for a county final last night. Play 63 mins of it,on a high having won it then come down from that and less than 48hrs later try to do the exact same again? Amateur players remember that are trying to do this all over the country and its statements like yours that helps feed into the joke that is club fixtures not just in Waterford but nationally.

Johnny Murphy loves the yellow cards. Every free from both sides is a yellow card in his eyes . Shocking he is

Good to see yellow cards given for the cynical holding of arm or hurley.Semple Stadium looks fantastic, best Hurling pitch in the country.
