I posted about this yesterday...just to confirm the bit about getting an email after close of business today was related to online preorders for click and collect. Not sure what the situation will be if you preordered in store

I had GS Order I wasnt going to use, but rang them today and they switched it from grey to Neon. Alex lad in GS Patrict St Cork was sound out.

He said it opens 10pm, they get all Payments and stuff done before 12, people can hang, likely pizzas, everyone get raffle ticket so come 12am its just a matter of grabbing your Bag of stuff...

After get thing paid for we have Queue numbers once paid up at 10pm, then might head next door into Mutton lane while waiting around for Switchmas's Santa to show up day midnight.

aaagh dam, been good to synchup, hope that Sega Astro I brought down for ya is going well mate. Arcade Machine makes it hard to double dip buying the MVS Switch eshop titles and StreetFighter. Ill stick to Snipperclips!

Apologies, I didn't see your post. This thread moves so fast that I miss entire pages

I pre-ordered in-store but the two staff members I spoke with were certain that there would be a Switch for me on the day (especially as I was within the first 15-20 or so people to reserve in that store).

I'll just have to say a prayer that I get the email as well, or a text/call as I left my phone number with the pre-order.

MAY be a possible fix for the Joy-Con problem. Apparently rebooting with the Joy-Cons docked applies an additional update and fixes the problem.

Only very early reports of this so it's not fully certain yet.

No apologies necessary...as you say bloomin hard to keep up with this thread especially today.

My local Smyth's shuts at 6, so I'll be constantly pressing "send / receive" on my email from that point on 😃

It's been fantastic to own one, couldn't thank you enough for doing that. Ya those Neo Geo titles are tempting for sure, the portability might swing my reasoning to getting a few perhaps.

They said they would send my a mail when its ready for collection but I've nothing yet. You don't need ID just my order number.

Just a word of caution. I've not done this before (and I may be wrong) but my understanding is that for click and collect orders, you won't have to physically pay when you collect, they'll just scan a barcode on the confirmation email and the CC that you entered when ordering will be charged. If that is the case, you wouldn't be able to transfer the preorder without somehow changing the associated CC details

They were saying in Smyth's Airside that they have 60 preorders in total, with ample consoles to cover it, so they should have plenty to offer walk-in buyers tomorrow.

Question though, was it ever confirmed that the ZL/ZR shoulder triggers were definitely digital? I notice a small bit of travel before the button clicks, and probably about double the amount of travel on ZR compared to the left. It's really not much, but enough there to do a bit of analogue control...so unsure if maybe my controllers just had random travel to them. I have no way to check in a game, and the button tester in the settings menu doesn't show anything until it clicks fully.

Just got my email, my Neon Switch will be ready to collect this evening from 00:01, with it being given away to a stranger come Saturday evening, and they'll keep my deposit, the shower of lousers!

They rang me earlier just to confirm for tomorrow and to mention if I had any things I wanted to trade in towards games/accessories etc.

They surely can't keep it. I have a pre order for Gamestop with €55 paid but was hoping to head along to Smyths tonight and pick up the Zelda bundle if any left.

I was under the impression that they just hold it as credit?
