edit: actually, seems with online discounts, if you order the bundle including BotW with the Switch you get a tenner off.

It's still the only place doing any decent bundles!  I don't think Gamestop or Argos or anywhere else are any better value!

Pre ordered a Switch in GameStop in Blanchardstown thinking they'd be doing a midnight launch but it turns out they aren't!

Is there any chance I could go to a Smyth's at 12 and grab one?

Bit crap in fairness, why should I have to pay more because I pre-ordered online vs instore?

I was gonna ask today but when I went in to get something, the booklets on the desk were turned to the Switch and I imagine the staff are probably withered from saying they don't know, so I left it off.

FAQ about pre orders

- Complete your Pre Order by clicking on the blue Pre Order button.

- Select whether you want to collect the item in-store or home delivery. Collection will only be available in stores offering Click & Collect as the time you place your pre order.

-You will be asked to provide card payments details at this Pre Order stage BUT payment will not be taken until you collect the product in store or it is dispatched for home delivery.

Yes they do, but this is the price of 2 individual items coming to 395 vs a bundle of 2 items for 385.

I'm not explaining it very well, but they are under no obligation to give it to me at the bundled price instead of the individual prices.

To make it worse, I tried to order both items at once when placing the pre-order, but they only allow you to pre-order 1 item at a time and had to make 2 different orders. That's why others here are on about separate texts and mails for the Switch and Zelda

Is it an actual bundle in the box tho from the pictures posted earlier it just looks like its a switch and game separatly, i had a look at their site and cant find the bundle and yes i had to order it separatly too. i might ask them tonight about it.

The bundle went live earlier at the link below. I'm half tempted to try order it now and just cancel the other bundle. I'd have to tie up mpre money on my account then though

Received 3 emails with unique barcodes, so my order is ready at local Smyth's. woohoo!

Did have about 15 mins panic after they arrived as I could not see the MIME attachments (the barcodes) on either phone or iPad. Ended up printing off the emails on one of my kids PCs (still can't view the attachments on phone or iPad)

I know it's only €10 but purely on principal, I won't buy the Switch and Zelda separately from Smyths if they're selling both as a bundle cheaper

We still have a case! its not bundled in the switch box itself :pac: Ill ask them tonight anyway and see, could be a tenner towards arms if we're lucky

According to Polygon there will be numerous ways of adding friends to online play going forward-including NNID

Here's the statement from Nintendo this morning

"Several methods can be used to add friends as quickly and easily as possible: · By linking Nintendo Switch to your Nintendo Account, your friends from Miitomo and Super Mario Run will appear as friend candidates so you can easily send them a friend request. Also, we are planning it so that friends from social networking services will be listed as candidates, too.

In the future, you will be able to send a friend request to friends associated with your NNID (Wii U/Miiverse) and Nintendo 3DS.

In some games you will be able to use an in-game interface to send friend requests.

You can send friend requests to those who have played with you recently.

You can establish a friend through local wireless communication.

You can also send a friend request by using a friend code."

Seems that friend codes are just a stop-gap solution for the time being!

I got the emails today with "Order in progress" and my card has a charge for the console, Zelda and 1-2 switch.

Was in Smyths and the guy there said if I ordered them separately then they should be able to charge me the bundle price. I ordered instore and not online.

Anyone who got the collection text chanced their arm and tried to collect? Not much point in them saying your stuff is ready if they won't actually let you have it until midnight. My email said ready in 2 hours about 4 hours ago

I had a PO with Gamestop in Midleton, rang them today to see if I could collect tomorrow he said no cos I was in the next batch of them which would be a few days... Was gutted...
Rang Gamestop Patrick St they said I could get 1 at midnight tonight if I PO by 6... I managed to do that got a Neon 1. Roll on midnight!

So weird though that patrick were taking PO up to 6 today for tonight and I had ordered ages ago in Midleton and I wasnt gonna get it day of release

Also im gonna pick up BomberMan & Zelda, never played a Zelda game but the reviews were too good not to pick it up
