Amazon order(s) are dispatched! Should arrive in the Parcel Motel tomorrow so should have them for Saturday morning! Saturday was already shaping up to be a **** day so this should make the evening a bit better at least!

Sound like a godsend if Atlus end up supporting the systems with as many titles as they did on 3DS.

So even though they've said the console is region free, there's still gonna be games that are region locked?

I'm torn. I bought a US 3DS so set up my e-sstore account as a US account and was always easily able to buy stuff - didn't even have to use e-store cards, I could just add credit straight from my debit card. I kind of want to do the same with my Switch, especially if Virtual Console purchases might transfer, but I worry that Nintendo might eventually clamp down on different region purchasing.

It's for pricing differences I'd say, e.g. Steam keys can be global, or Russian, russian keys are much cheaper but are geo-locked to Russia.

Sony and MS do the same thing, sales happen in different places at different times too, despite all being region free.

Or are you asking about something else?

they arent region locked just the store has some games that are out in other regions first. its the same on the ps4 store for example my friends were just discussing how they bought bloodborne on the us store using a us account cause it was on that 3 days earlier

I preorder about a month ago and will head to the midnight release on Jervis Street, Dublin. Still haven't heard since.

I'm guessing that the friend code thing is a placeholder till the proper online service is introduced. Thankfully, it's not the only way to add people, adding friends from Miitomo for example seems to be a much smoother way of doing so, as it'll show you friends with a Switch too. I believe they intend to add extra social media for this too, eg. Facebook/Twitter, and when the smartphone app comes along, it'll probably tie into all of these.

To those asking for my pre order. No can do, sorry. I asked in GameStop Blanchardstown if I could give it to someone and they said no because I've to show ID. I tried cancelling it in there and they won't let me. I've to go in to Henry Street Dublin where the Switch is to do so. When I don't collect it, the next person on the waiting list will move up. Blanchardstown have over 100 pre orders, they showed me the list. They'll also be charging €70 for Zelda Breath of the Wild on Wii U. :mad: Took a photo of the back cover as I hadn't seen that anywhere online yet. Just the front.

best hope is try and make sure you get on argos.ie when it goes up and try and reserve one in your local argos. tesco maybe also but not sure how many will carry it.

Gamestop rang today to tell me that I had 8 hours to pick up the console tomorrow or it may be sold.

I'll have it picked up first thing in the morning but I find that a bit ridiculous (and told them as much) considering it is fully paid for.

That's a huge relief to me, spent a few minutes on the live chat but didn't have my receipt on hand to check details. If he'd mentioned the email, I would have felt a lot better.

Feeling very buzzed now, very SWITCHed on. Felt the same way before the Gamecube and the Wii. Ooh, it's going to be difficult to sleep tonight.

Have to finish Tales of Symphonia before bedtime tonight or else that'll go back on the shelf for another few months.

I had GS Order I wasnt going to use, but rang them today and they switched it from grey to Neon. Alex lad in GS Patrict St Cork was sound out.

He said it opens 10pm, they get all Payments and stuff done before 12, people can hang, likely pizzas, everyone get raffle ticket so come 12am its just a matter of grabbing your Bag of stuff...
