Pretty much, just the usual they only hold for 48hrs etc and to tell me they will have the nes mini for sale.

Ultra Street Fighter II: The New Challengers (Switch) will release in Japan on May 26th for 4,990 retail or 4,620 on the eShop. That's €40 when converted but European prices are usually higher. I think it's overpriced considering what it is and Capcom are trying to make a quick buck.

That is a rip off, I got SF V for 40 quid at launch....

I may get it in a sale or something, just won't get it immediately...

No, just contacted via FB and they confirmed the midnight launch in Swords.
I might swing by a little later just to make sure there's no snags, I preordered early enough so it should be fine....

Nope. I rang today and I asked if there is any point in my showing up for launch. I have a preorder but they cant tell me if I'll have one for launch.

I was like woohoo some mess up and its here early, but it was the goddamn girlfriend order bras and **** from Amazon!!! GGGGrr
Then i had Order dispatched email but that was only Zaavi sending Doctor Strange Steelbooks.

Been F5 on Amazon all day even though I know it will send email at same time, come on Amazon its midday

Ive been furiously logging in every hour to see is it on the way and about an hour ago my Delivery date slipped to Saturday...

I got onto chat about it and they assured me it would be Friday

Just login to your one and make sure your one has not slipped either!

Aaah Man cant see why they edit yours to a sat if they can all go today. Hopefully we all get it shipped today, heck even Gamestop are shipping.

Its all good, still shipping today, but when your this hyped, that means ship it by 8am at the latest not later I just want it sent and I can relax. I only worry as it if coming Sat or next week I can see my self buying a 2nd Switch at a midnight launch out of lunacy

I was straight onto chat and the lovely man behind the keyboard was convinced I would have it by Friday, I told him he would be held responsible for the ladys wrath if I had to purchase one locally... :P

While you are as right as I am, it's open to interpretation.

I feel as though, people who may have been walking into store for the past fortnight looking for the product have been turned away, as GS wanted to hold onto these.

It's also a pressure on people who are handing over between 400-600 quid tomorrow night, depending on accessories bought, to hand over another 70 quid for a mini they will know is rare as all hell.

It's a shyster practice as far as I'm concerned.
I know others will have no problems whatsoever with it, this is why GS are still in business

I just got onto Smyth's chat and was told the emails about collection (i.e., telling you that you have one ready for collection) will go out after close of business tomorrow. The person did go on to tell me that my preorder was logged and that all preorders will by ready for collection on Friday (not sure if that is a stock answer they are giving everyone at this stage though)

Jaysus you get somebody a lot more helpful than the one I got. The lady I spoke to knew nothing.

Smyths are doing a midnight launch btw in every store as far as I'm aware.

So I'll confess that I only preordered instore at Smyths about an hour ago and they took it.
I asked if they're expecting many at the midnight opening and he said they had 40 preorders so far.
He also said they don't have anything yet as they're only arriving in Ireland today and they'll be getting them tomorrow.

I saw an indie shop had theirs here in Ireland about a week ago today in a photo online, sounds like someone in Smyths is telling Porkie pies somewhere along the line...

Friday can't come quickly enough at this stage...

Argos have a new videogame leaflet/catalogue out today. The Switch price listed is 349.99, though on the computer the Grey version is listed at 339.99. Neon is 349.99 as the new leaflet says. The front of it says "From A to Zelda Gaming at Argos" which I thought was pretty cool, they seem to be hyping up the switch a bit now. The booklet also has a lot of accessories in it and the games they have listed are Zelda, 1-2 Switch, Bomberman, Just Dance, Splatoon 2, Arms and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

Also the Zelda listing mentions that you get a free Art Card. I assume this is an Argos exclusive bonus thing.

At least the price is a bit more reasonable now. Definitely going to keep an eye on the argos site Thursday into Friday just in case Smyths let me down with my preorder.
