charalanahzardFour insane, near-sleepless days and 40-50 hours of play time later, I finally finished The Legend of #Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I don't remember the last time I was so obsessively consumed by something. Overwhelming exhaustion aside, I'm so, so glad I managed to do it before I had to give the Switch back to IGN (in roughly 5 hours). That was a task and a half.

I have Zelda ordered from Amazon and it's supposed to dispatch today, I'm using Parcel Motel so I don't think I'm gonna have it by Friday morning

I'm the same with Amazon for both Switch and Zelda. I'd already resigned myself to not having it until Saturday, but if it's dispatched today, there's a decent change of having it on Friday.

Really? Mine is down as scheduled to dispatch today. If it's not dispatched though before or the same time as the Switch, I'll cancel and go with a local shop.

I'll be collecting tomorrow at midnight.
Working the next day.
My plan is to bring it with me and during quiet time getting a go of my new system.
The dad in me says "Don't be selfish, leave it at home so Cidonalad can play it too".
My Nintendo fan is telling the dad to shut the hell up, that the boy is still playing Dark Souls and he'll get over it...

Mine is down to despatch today also....

I would hope it gets there by latest Friday night, if I got it tomorrow night I'd be even happier...

They appear to have changed the date, I think it was initially down to get despatched tomorrow but it changed to today...

I need to get it from Amazon as I have a voucher unfortunately...

Edit : for some reason, back when I ordered Zelda it showed up as 7-9th March delivery date, again, I had a GameStop voucher so I just cancelled it and I will get it there instead Friday morning...

Don't see the dilemma. Take it with you. If he really wanted one, he would get a job and buy it himself. You have to teach him these things. Tough love and all that.

Thinking of getting Zelda in Derry on Saturday and save about a tenner. But also want to get it with the Switch. But we'll see

GAME suddenly starts cancelling Nintendo Switch pre-orders

For whatever reason, there's been some rather disgruntling news as the UK gaming store, GAME, has started cancelling some peoples' pre-orders.

Considering the Nintendo Switch is only a couple of days from release, this has unsurprisingly been a huge disappointment for fans and especially those who pre-ordered the device on day one.

The reasoning behind this sudden effect is unknown. It's possible that it could be a system error, or perhaps it's the case that GAME bit off more than it could chew and kept accepting pre-orders despite not having the stocks to fulfil requests.

In some cases it looks like only some parts of the orders are being cancelled, like the console but not the game or accessories. However, GAME has yet to reply or release information about what's going on.

So if you've bought from GAME, give your order a quick look-over to be sure nothing's gone on. It's better to be safe than sorry.

These are all probably isolated bank issues.
No funds or an anti-fraud block.
It's probably not Games fault in the slightest.

Think I will bring it along, try to get the system updated once I get it home, then bring it to work.
He can have a crack at it over the weekend instead.

I've been logging on and off on my Amazon account to see had it been dispatched, and it appears my delivery date magically changed to Saturday in the last hour or so.... :O

I got onto CS via chat and he assured me I would have it by Friday and it was a delivery date mess up....

Anyone else get similar?
