gamestop looking to charge 130 apparently (according the the manager of the st patrick street one) if thats the true price in argos i cant justify paying 30 more, was bad enough with smyths at 108.99. the guy claims the others are misprices and not the RRP

130? Still!? I have it pre-ordered, hope I can get the normal copy now.

I'll be picking up 1,2 Switch from them Friday myself.
Might grab the wired controller too

Very nice read on how the Switch begs to be touched and played with. Just dont tell The Sun... Stupid excuse for a Newspaper...

Interesting note: Switch pro Controller works natively on PC through Bluetooth.

Might less the brunt of the cost if you play on PC a lot (though not racing games, no analogue triggers)

Yeah, it looks pretty nice, got a Psychonauts vibe from the art and voices.

I would say the best announcement is Overcooked, that game is colossal fun in co-op, played with my brother, sister and bro-in-law at Christmas and we spent 6 straight hours at it.

So thats a good idea of Nintendos 2017 (ARMS, MK8DX, Spla2oon, Mario Odussey, FE Warriors, maybe one or two more announced at E3).
We have a huge selection of indie games arriving in the next 9 months.
Just need some major 3rd parties to reveal some ports (Capcom, SqEnix, EA, Activision, 2K) to round out a full idea of the Switch's first year.

Definitely expect Argos to be selling cheaper than that at launch.

I'd love to see Shakedown Hawaii running on an arcade cabinet, it looks fantastic

Asked in Jervis argos this evening and they are unsure of how much stock is due on Friday I tried to explain the €329.99 is a blanket price set by Nintendo themselves and was told to ask again on Thursday afternoon as to stock availability. That wired Hori pad is intriguing.

Just paid off my Switch order in GameStop (they also said they'd have NES mini's if anyone is looking for one).
Want to attend the midnight launch (never been to one before) but my car has to go into the garage, I'd be able to get public transport there but I'd be unable to get back.... When I ordered it I lived in Dundrum but now I'm in town! Guess this won't be my 1st midnight launch then :( So its 3 sleep instead of 2 now!

Argos are probably doing that thing where it starts off above RRP and then they reduce it down to RRP so they can say they have it on special and have taken money off it. They did it with the PSVR too.

Is snipperclips eshop only or will it have a physical release?

    eShop only.

You can get it with neon joycons if you want a sheet with its logo and a cardboard box.

Nintendo don't set RRPs in Europe any more, not in a long long time now!

Strangely the PSVR is now retailing at 440 euros in Argos.

I don't think Sony or xbox do either. wasn't that due to the big fine they got from the EU over the price fixing during the snes/n64 days.

Sorry I know this has been asked already.

What time do new releases usually show up on the Argos website on release day?

    Thanks

Not once did I use the term rrp, rather now it is srp the selected retailers price but I didn't use that either, the €329.99 price tag is the blanket price tag, it is the unofficial accepted threshold rrp is a bollix term either way, argos undercuts everyone on the ps4 and Xbox one deals and prices now. I think this €379.99 price tag is just a place holder price they will level out come Friday hopefully, if not I have my neon reserved in smyths.
