Currently scheduled to be DUZ so you'll need an adapter. Airframe may change between now and tomorrow but best advice is to bring an adapter and then you're covered.

Cheers, can they be got in the airport or will it need to be somewhere like Maplins?

I recommend having a look in dealz, picked up one in there before for €1.50

I think you would pick one up in Dixons or W.H. Smith in T2 if you are stuck, but it will probably be more expensive than you'd get it for elsewhere.

Will Aer Lingus be getting any A350s ?

As discussed earlier on this thread it's looking unlikely, they will probably get the A330neo along with the A321neo

Been discussed to death at this point. They have 9 on order, with delivery due in 2018.
However rumours abound that IAG will change this to a mix of A330neo's and A321LR's.

I'm more interested in hearing about plans for short haul replacements at this stage

EI-EWR/FNG/FNH use the standard one prong jack. All the other A330s require the two prong.

as above there is a case in to modify current aircraft seat monitor brackets to be able to fit the newer panasonic eco monitors, these are really efficient monitors compared to even repair costs to the current ones and before someone mentions seat re-certification this is in progress.
massive cost savings in handsets, cradles and screens alone would be well worth a refit.

I assume there is an energy saving with newer seatback screens? Could add up to a lot over the life of the aircraft.
I had a chat with an AA engineer I know. He told me that fleetwide AA made saving switching seatbelt/no smoking signd from bulbs to LED.

yes they consume less power and more reactice to touch etc and produce less heat.

As far as I remember on 330's only LAX/DAA/EWR have seat row identifiers as old bulbs, the NS/fasten seat belts are LEDs in all the A330 fleet, deff on on -300's.Older 320s have the bulb type row idents too, anyway, that mod is easily done via psu panel replacement, the LED'S are actually in a circuit board called a PISA behind the panel.New Airbus aircraft in the last 5/6 years have no smoking signs in decals, its a Seat Belt/No portable devices sign and the cabin entry, aisle, window lighting is LED.

Can anyone in the know check for me:
131 today - operated by LBT, and any reason for delay?

I have family due outbound on it, thank you.

Look at the seat map for your flight on the aer Lingus web site. If it goes up to row 46 it's an a333.

    EI110 and EI111 SNN-JFK-SNN cancelled again.

That's over 2 weeks of disruption? Know somebody heading over to New York Wednesday and they're praying that their flight is not cancelled.

DUO back in service today. End of the disruption. Operating the 145 to LAX.

Well that's good, why is SNN-JFK cancelled today though?

Incident with -Duo happened on the 7th of this month, this is 16 days later that its back in service, now EWR is in maintenance.

Of course this is out of Aer Lingus' control, but the damage to one of it's routes is in its control. The New York route's reputation has been damaged by this, and the image of Aer Lingus in general. I would think that the handling of the situation has not been wise and the lasting result will likely be more costly than the financial division has forecasted.

From a consumer point of view, at this time of year I've 3 choices of airlines to go to New York, I don't hear of several cancellations on any of the other routes every few months. This isnt the first time the airline has cancelled routes from Shannon for days on end.

Although I wouldn't be the most qualified on the forum, its poor fleet management in my opinion.

You have just said it's of Aer Lingus' control. At the end of the day where the least disruption will occur a route will be cancelled. At the end of the day that's SNN-JFK-SNN today.

SNN-JFK/BOS have effectively become the spare aircraft in the airline. Cancellations are becoming more frequent all the time. With such a large fleet which is growing all the time, is this not the time to allow slack in the scheduling to allow for these problems?
