I hope Kvitova doesn't go the same way as Lisicki....she's too good a player! On paper, Petra does have the game for the hard courts but it does translate.

If only more Grand Slams were on grass!!:p

Looking forward to seeing how Keys will do this year. I was impressed; first time I've seen a full match of hers. Her partnership with Davenport-Leech could be the best thing.

So.... Maria Kirilenko got married.... to someone. That's out of the blue.

Bouchard is so crafty isn't she. Love watching her.

Naturally she implodes after I post the above

Kyrgios is proving to be amazing and terrible all in the space of one set here.

This Murray-Dimitrov game is huge. Murray wins and makes final or SF you say 'okay he's back' if he loses, you're thinking maybe his best days are behind him now.

A high quality match, murray the deserved winner in the end...

Virginia Wade summing things up nicely there, she says she's thought for a while that Dimitrov is "too much icing, not enough cake."

Kyrgios the first teenager to reach multiple slam QF's since... Federer.

Great game from Djokovic. The quarters are shaping up nicely.

Mens quarters should be brilliant - 7 out of 8 top seeds are through.

Disappointed that Aga lost but it's hard to feel anything but happy for Venus. I think we all had her written off a few years ago. Now she's on the verge of the Top 10 again.

You could never write off Venus fully though. Her game is unreal when she gets it together, which always makes her a danger. There is definitely a slam or two left in her.

Both of the first 4th rounders were terrific last night. Cibulkova gave a masterclass in controlled, consistent aggression and took Azarenka apart. I think she'd have won that match even if Azarenka was at 100%. Azarenka is looking pretty sharp though, and is defending pretty much nothing till the US Open series this Summer, so it won't take her long to climb back up the rankings.

Muguruza-Serena was terrific as well. Really hope Garbine can play like that on a regular basis, she's definitely got the tools for the top ten. I also think she'll be one of the favourites at Roland-Garros this year.

Really looking forward to Sharapova-Bouchard tonight, think it'll be a good one. Think Genie will get off to a hot start but Sharapova will right the ship later in the match. Think Sharapova will win in 3.

Was really impressed with Venus. She's looks in great shape...can't believe this year is her 21st on the tour! Looking forward to her match against Madison. Maybe Coach Davenport will give Keys a few tips on playing V.:)

Halep going along quietly. She should have no problems with Makarova. Really hope Simona reaches the final.

Murray-Kyrgios should be good. The crowd will go ape if Nick wins!!

Hard to call Sharapova v Bouchard. Either one could play brilliantly, either one could play terribly. Only thing is I think Bouchard's terrible is much worse than Sharapova's and even on a good day Bouchard's serve has gone to pot, second serve especially. Sharapova could bury her.

Without a doubt the worst match I've watched this tournament so far. Halep was appalling.

She really was. Didn't even seem bothered by it in press either if twitter is to believed.

Bouchard not quite at the races today either it seems although she's done well to get herself together after a terrible start.

This match isnt much better to be honest.
Bouchard is playing like an amateur,20 unforced errors in the first set.

It really is hard to watch Sharapova play ,the amount of time she takes between points when serving is excruciating.

Bouchard has been patchy this competition so it was hard to see her putting it together to beat Maria and yeah I know everyone is a genius after the event:p

Now or never, if Berdych can't beat Nadal here, he never will.

  • Moderators, Arts Moderators Posts: 24,011 Mod ✭✭✭✭TICKLE_ME_ELMO

Waaaaaay too early to call it here but Nadal is not in this match at all. What a difference having some tactics can make.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 12,287 ✭✭✭✭Rjd2

Berdych cruising, he should win, the only concern is if Rafa gets any sort of momentum then it could get somewhat interesting, as Rafa has steam rolled him so often.

So far though a poor match, were the other 2 ladies games rubbish as well?

Come on Rafa this can't end in 3 sets surely

    Yup :D

That is a shame, they looked quite appetising on paper. Any chance for Makarova in the Russian semi final?

Dammit Halep!! Hopefully the women's QFs tomorrow will be better.

What a way for Berdych to end a losing streak.

Agreed, reminded me of this equally dominant win. :)
