Saw Kane Douglas and Mike McCarthy in town earlier, Douglas is a huge man.

I've just had 6 kids plus my own 3 over for a "movie night"...where they gorged themselves on sugar coated jellies and then trashed the place.

Sounds like a holocaust movie is the ideal way to wind down after that...

Switch to Firefox from Chrome made. Will see how it goes. I reckon Chrome has gone stale, and Firefox is much more zippy than in the past.

I'm going to do the same. Serious amount of "google chrome is not responding" pages coming up for me this last while.

Yeah, adult interest pages definitely stall on chrome

Every now and then Chrome likes to just crash on me. No warning, not the usual "this tab is not responding do you want to kill the process?" pop up. It just straight up closes. Pain in the arse if I have a good few, ahem, "important" tabs open.

The ball and chain swears by Opera so I might give it a go.

Been using Firefox for years without problem. I only use the internet for work purposes obviously, so I know what you mean about important tabs... ;)

Ditched chrome when it started installing crap to the system tray and trying to take as much resources as is it could get its hands on. Much happier with firefox.

I use Chrome mostly out of habit now (and didn't like Firefox years ago) but it's a ludicrous resource hog.

Yip, so far very happy with Firefox for the Mac on OSX and laptop on windows 7.

Don't mind saying I use safari for the iPad & iPhone (with occasional use of Mercury browser on the iPhone).

I think google has just become too much like facebook etc, I want a fast browser, I don't want something following me round everywhere.

But most of all recently, chrome has just become slow.

I have made the switch based on the sage advice on here. Chrome was really struggling for me in the past few weeks with pages unresponsive on multiple occasions. I thought it was possibly just a combination of my laptop and/or connection. Not a single issue since changing to Firefox which is much, much better than I recall it being.

Chrome has malloc issues but didn't I go and write extensions for it that I use constantly in work... I'll put up with it for now and hope someone in Google who understands the unix philosophy is put in charge of the project. Luckily on Linux (Ubuntu/Mint) it's not as big of an issue.

Firefox is very good, and very well supported. Opera is like dating a hipster, it's fun and interesting until you have to actually rely on it for anything of substance.
