    Feedback :

    TBC :
Again, a very bold move choosing all females but so far a nice build up and i don’t see the lack of males hindering your writing. AJs character is believable and I wonder how long lita will last putting up with her uber fan. Sasha and Sable seem like a natural fit too, and Sasha can back up in ring what Sable says. Havok and Bull could be a hard hitting bout and it will be interesting to see how Trish goes fourth in the tournie as well as how Ms flair and Del Ray fair as their stories continue. So far so good Crabbie
    .

    Walt :
Great opening segment and Eugene was used perfectly. Its already made cornette the under dog but how will it go down as we move forward. Great banner by the way, You’re an ace at the photoshop and very creative with the slogan. Simple yet very very effective. Randy and Rhodes is building nicely as is The Freebirds and the Harts.

    Spongey :
Liked AJ and Hunters altercation, nice line by AJ BTW(the joker in the pack, nice touch)., I wonder how Hunter will fare next week. In reality it would be a great match IMO. Intrigued by Al Snows character, hes one I was hoping to grab late on in the draft but you beat me to it. Like watch you’ve done with Laycool and PamAn, perfect use of a celebrity. Santino is too goody goody for his own good and its working well with his interactions with Roode...well that was until the end of Roodes match, well played sir. . I personally wouldn’t boo at buckfast , but thats just me ha. Sheamus v Hardy could easily be a main event match in real life and look forward to how they will feud.

Must say I was really surprised Tiger Mask lasted past the normal 15 rounds and very happy to be able to trade for him although I do think that Necro Butcher is also a very handy bonus pick as he can add a whole new (hardcore) dynamic to any roster and is a bit of a steal at this late stage too.

Very happy with my roster now and it's gotta be one of the strongest the BWA has had. Hard to say 100% as previously I woulda had at least a semi strong womens division but TBCs roster meant a lot of people don't have that this year and to have around ten competitors that could legit be world champions for my fed isn't something I would normally be able to say.

Tanahashi, Punk, Nakamura, Joe, Kobashi, Misawa, Vader, Jack Brisco for sure would be considered WC level while Inoki, Mascaras, Lawler and maybe Severn or The Shiek could be added to that list for some IMO

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,159 ✭✭✭mrkiscool2

First show is up! It's a lot of wrestling and not much promo stuff. Setting the tone of a few feuds there so will be fun to see what you guys made of it!

Also, big ups go to ShagNastii for letting me use Devitt for the show. We came to a nice arrangement and it was a lot of fun writing him again, while making neither guy look weak (IMO)

    Spongey -
I'm liking what you're doing with Pamela and the other women. I'm interested to see where it will lead to. I'm also keen to see how you book the Triple H/AJ match. Will Hunter step up next time? Snow works well as a wildman character. The main event was well written and I liked Tito interfering via the champagne bottle. Sheamus vs Jeff wasn't the way I thought you'd go but it should be a great match. I'm wondering how Sheamus will deal with Jeff going forward.

    walt -
Great concept to start the show with the numbers; really enjoyed that and Cornette's reaction to getting Eugene was classic. I'm looking forward to the interactions of Eugene and Cornette as they could wind up being one the best double acts of the game. Orton vs Rhodes is building nicely and I like the cage match idea as it's a match both would excel in. Also envious of your photoshop skills and the cool tagline, 'whose side are you on?' I think this civil war of sorts you have gone with is one of the standout ideas this year.

    beakerjoe -
A strong segment to open the show which got over the personal aspect of the feud. I like the Hart Family stable and it's great to see Owen centre stage; I liked Magnum getting him with the rope too. Submission match for the IC Title should be interesting and I'm intrigued by Shannon going a bit off the deep end from the looks of it. I liked the Outlaws going down a nostalgic road but with a new twist. I thought the Vince/Jeff segment was gonna be my favourite bit as I've loved all their interactions and you can easily sympathise with Jeff and what he must be going through. I enjoyed it again this week, but that ending though! That was a top notch twist. Never saw that coming and what a BRILLIANT idea. That would be a genuine 'holy sh*t' moment for the crowd. You've done a great build for your PPV and you finished on a terrific high note. Well played, man.

I'll give feedback to other shows soon.

    Raf -
I liked the pose off which gave Rude a chance to showcase what a great character he is. A good idea also to introduce Nikki into the situation. The Macho Man promo was well done and believable. Also liked the Goldberg/Ryback moment; can't wait to see who you book to win that one. The ending was a good way to showcase the familiar face of Rocky Johnson and it got over two big matches at Wrestlecade: the title match and the ownership of the company match. Great work and looking forward to seeing who gets the wins at the PPV.

    mrk -
Great main event on the show and one that would be worthy of a PPV. I liked the way you wrote the match too and the little things which added to it such as the whisper in Bryan's ear. You're doing a good job of putting Race over strong and I liked the mystery man interfering which was intriguing. I enjoyed Candido featuring prominently too.

    Bounty Hunter -
Very much enjoyed that opening segment and I thought that was a really clever use of Gorgeous George with his comments towards Patterson. In one segment you got me very interested in this match-up. Have to take my hat off to you also for how you're developing the Ventura/Roussey feud. This is one of the matches I'm most looking forward to in the game, and would do great business. I enjoyed Joe's win and post-match promo which did its job of putting him over strong. The main event angle was very well handled once again. You've made Punk feel like a huge deal and a real bombshell announcement to finish with. I'm keen to see how Tanahashi responds.

I've a few more still to read.

Firstly thanks to Lord TSC for running the draft this year. Considering a lot of factors (your new business venture, your lack of motivation to watch Raw these days) its a testament to your good self for the handling of this years draft. Thank you so much for all your time and hard work and it really is appreciated. Who ever takes over next year has a tough act to follow.

Really hope you get a few shows up this year as its a pleasure reading your work.

Ive only my PPV preview and PPV itself left to write, hopefully will get to those in the next 2 weeks, before I start I will catch up on the write ups I’ve missed (think theres been a few over the weekend from moneymaker and Brad and the likes).

Really has a hard year this year for me. With a 3 month old baby, being back in work and trying to get back into playing football again, I really didn’t think i’d be able to write as much as Ive done. I had terrible writers block at the beginning I really was thinking of not submitting anything as I felt it was such a melt. I wasn’t happy with my roster and felt like trading Shawn, Vince, Jarrett, Owen and others at times. In the end its come together and I hope Ive written something decent for you guys to enjoy. Really appreciate all the feedback so far, as it makes it all worth while.

Ill start reading the write ups over the next few hours and will submit feedback. Thanks guys, Its been a hard, but worthwhile so far.

    Moneymaker -
Very strong start with PPV quality matches on offer. I enjoyed the main event and the visual image of Pillman escaping by the skin fo his teeth. Also impressed by The Ascension being presented strong. Corbin segment was fun too and is that a tease of things to come with Raven watching on, I'm wondering. You made the Cruiserweight Title feel like a big deal too which is impressive in just one segment. Looking forward to future shows.

    connemara man -
Bo Dallas is proving a really fun character. I think my favourite character on PCW though is his brother Bray Wyatt as I'm liking how strongly you present him and how you presented him as a really big deal in the main event angle. Kane is another interesting character that I like. I'm interested to see how you book the over the top battle royal next time.

    thebostoncrab -
I enjoyed the opening angle and the dig at Charlotte that she's only where she is because of her last name. The AJ/Lita stuff I like a lot and I think it's great that you're taking your time with it. The Queen of the Ring tournament was well done and Toyota/Kim should be a great match. I was impressed too with Trish's promo on Sable and how she had sullied the image of women in wrestling. The card is coming together nicely now.

    A Brad Maddox Guy -
I thought it was very well played to have Zac and Scurll take the tag titles the way you did as it establishes them as a big deal right off the bat. Also Tyson's comment that Zac must be starving made me laugh. The Ambrose promo was excellent; you really got inside his head and that felt very believable to me. Also loved Ambrose's motive for wanting to get Foley. Big thumbs up for this segment. Also liked Marufuji wanting his partner to win for him after he was attacked. A simple yet effective way to gain sympathy for KENTA. Also keen to see what happens to Adam Cole next after he attacked Tazz. All in all a great show and probably your best one yet imo.

    Raf32 -
Is this a PPV I see before me? I believe this is the first one posted so far, and it didn't disappoint.

Probably good that Brie retained that way as it gives the chance of a rematch. I was wondering where the masked man would fit into the equation in the tag title four way but the way it fed into the Rude/Nikki stuff was great. I got a kick out of Rocky Johnson screwing your good self and helping Johnny get the glory as it tied in well with last year's events. The Goldberg/Ryback match was very well written and I particularly liked both men hitting the other's moves. I was pleased Goldberg got the win.

The main event was my favourite part and was likewise very well written. I thought the promos leading up to it made it feel more special. I liked Hogan exploiting the X symbol; that was a nice touch. Another nice touch was how you highlighted the contrast of the colours both men wore during the split screen. I really liked the ending which was an epic way for Savage to get the title and something that fans would always remember. Nice to see Savage get the big moment over Hogan as well.

Overall really enjoyed your PPV, as well as your PPV build, and I think you've set a tough standard for the other PPVs to follow. Well done!

struggling for time, and reading other shows has slowed massively as a result (but with a few weeks still on the clock time is on my side) but thankfully I had the majority of my non PPV shows a good while back so i've just the PPV to go now for the BWA.

big thanks to TBC for letting me borrow AJ for one show. Didn't give her a match or anything that will see her return to the show but having her in the write up helped me out of a hole I wrote myself into in the main event of the show

  • Moderators, Sports Moderators Posts: 22,666 Mod ✭✭✭✭Bounty Hunter

On another note who are those that people are surprised were not picked.

I thought Moolah would end up on TBCs roster given the pre 70s rule was removed for 1/3 of the draft for example.

Thought someone might have found a storyline for Fandango

Morishima is another who coulda been a beast on many rosters and is just as good as some who went in the first half of the draft and yet didnt go at all.

Sean O' Haire would usually be picked esp as people like his Devils advocate gimmick but I believe he didn't make the cut this year.

I almost took Stacy Kiebler and was going to team her up with Gorgeous Geroge as his manager but she too went unpicked in the end

A number of legends always get overlooked but with more pre 70s picks available this year i'm surprised Buddy Rodgers or the Santo & Gory Guerrero team didn't make anyones lists
