I would like to see IW to cease trading and water to remain controlled by government/local auth
The poll is deceptive in that someone can vote for multiple options at once. I stil dont feel the poll choices reflect my views. I want water to be run properly, to not be charged for, not like this and enshrined into the constitution so it cannot be sold off to pay for someone elses debts.

Going by your vote you want IW restructured and you want IW to cease trading and you don't want to pay for water in anyway

I doubt it reflects your views when you can't decide what your views are.

Whoever set up the poll appears confused because of the way it enables someone to vote in 2 opposite or multiple directions at once. I voted on this poll tactically by ignoring the option most offensive to me which is a continuation of the status quo.

Logically you would only vote in the direction of what you believe, if you vote in two different directions, the problem is you (as in the voter) not the poll.

Again, the options aren't mutually exclusive

well... I saw the poll in a similar way to proportional representation votes because of the way you can back a few horses...

I just realised it was set up by you .I didn't say your poll wasn't a good idea.

It makes no odds who set it up, I just can't see the problem. The options are clear, the reason for multiple choices are clear.

Anyway, we've both voted and we're both dragging the thread off topic, we'll leave it at that if its OK with you? If you want to continue we can PM :)

Yeah, Enda should have told the IMF to f**k right off and we'd all have lived happily ever after! :)

sure, and sinking €64 billion of tax payers money, into 5 bankrupt private businesses, whch had a combined value of €3 billion at the height of the boom was sound stratigy to you, was it? never mind NAMA scam...

    Not entirely, but:

We were in a far better bargaining position back then than we ever realised.

    Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Well if you didnt realise the position you were in how would you have known to bargain for a different deal ?

Gotta love the last few pages.
The usual suspects bitching and moaning about the politicians, while at the same time out protesting that responsibility for water infrastructure remains within their remit.

    Couldn't make it up.

Same old 'Enda a b@stard, they're all corrupt and incompetent' unfocused bile-filled posts, without a single coherent suggestion as to what they'd do instead.

Anyway the main thing lads, is to keep backslapping each others posts - ye're doing a great job - surprised ye haven't worn out the Thanks button yet.

So instead of being intimidated by the Government, as you claim, she is actually being intimidate by her own family. Very nice.

    ......... just stupid :(

Indeed. Stopped searching after about a minute.

A lot of them are stupid too.
    Try another funny Tayto.

The last one had your lickspittle buddies falling over themselves to thank you

Go on, I'm sure you can come up with something really hilarious this time.
    Tipping point me bollox.

Let someone else pay for my water more like.
Course it is. The leaders of these protests represent the same group of people who've spent their lives with their hands out milking the State.

The protests have also managed to suck in some normal PAYE workers who are sick of austerity/cronyism/inefficiencies in the public service or whatever - but the core protestors simply do not want to contribute to society.

The irony is that all these protests will achieve, is the removal of the usual suspects from any requirement to contribute - all in the name of political expediency.
The ordinary decent tax-paying citizen who marches is only ultimately succeeding in ensuring that more of a burden is placed on themselves.
Well now you've really gone and hurt my feelings.

Hopefully I'll be able to make it through this very difficult time.
People like me pulled this Country out of recession.

Most of the bitch-monkeys on here couldn't pull their fingers out of their arses.
Well let her **** off to another country then and see how she gets on.

We could do without the nauseating self-pity of these whingers.
Think I can manage a sarcastic slow hand clap - will that do?

Quite the foul mouthed poster when you put it all together there.
And then he attacks posters for 'personal insults'....

Sorry if my language offends you - that's just the way I speak. I call it as I see it.

As for attacking posters over personnel insults - I've no recollection of this - perhaps you could remind me?

I do remember pointing out that posters were resulting to personal insults as they'd run out of coherent arguments - is this 'attacking' in your little world.

My My, you seem quite the delicate little petal.

True , FF did ruin this country and as a party may they pay for it for many an election to come BUT after all Enda's and FG's posturing and gesturing ,They havn't done a hell of a lot better since coming into power , They're on the record of not even trying (Debt wise) when they got to the table ,More interested in been the good little lapdog for their European owners.

And as for this great recovery that they are so eager to claim didn't FF have 3/4 of this in place already according to a lot of experts .

I suggested the questions for this poll a few days ago. You could have raised your concerns and given new suggestions then.

The multiple choice options IMO give a better idea of the feelings of the posters ie: They want meter charges but are unhappy with IW as a company. Anyone who selects I do not want water charges & I want water charges together, is being a twat just for the sake of being a twat......... imho

What other conclusion is one to draw?

You seem upset at the use of some slightly industrial language and have used the work 'attack' in reference to a simple observation. Perhaps AH is not the place you should be hanging around - I wouldn't like to corrupt you.

Other than being a very sensitive soul, the only other conclusion one could draw would be that you're a bit prone to fists of over exaggeration and dramatisation.

Would this be closer to the truth do you think?

Yeah I think that's where they let us down the most. Not another red cent.
They had the negotiation skills of Fr Dougal Maguire.
