Minors at home V Limerick in hurling.
U21 home v Waterford , winners play Clare.
With home/away we seem to have good draws.

TTM... I agree Pa has the talent but hope he can drive on to great things. He is still a lot better than some currently on Cork panel. A natural but wouldn't use the word great yet. ( Ben, Deane, Corcoran etc were great)

Some good and bad draws in minor and u21

Minor football ,the cookie will crumble, cork wont be,as lucky next year in yes will.beat limerick handy but we havent hope with current manager beating kerry in semi in kerry so no croke park next year

Minor hurling awful draw, limerick ist round home, but win it likely meet them again in a semi but crucially loose home advantage.

    If i was cork.,play ist round,dont win,just try.out lads,will meet waterford then likely as tipp.beat them,wed beat waterford imo

Go down.to limerick we could win but we wont beat them twice ,as they with wallis will learn more in defeat.
Cork must not show their full.hand.
In u21 football brillant draw, ist round easy game, kerry no warm up,we play them in a,semi in cork.

U21 hurling, kenneally is saved by waterford and clare at home so will avoid hammerings
Should they beat waterford, depends on who is their manager, clare be hard to beat,as yes kinnerk and connor are gone but moloney is still there

Overall not great, minor football and hurlers tough draws, but hurling can do.it,good management ,but minor football imo doesnt and has no chance beating all ireland champions in kerry.

    Fair point

I was at Limerick Snr final Sunday and to be blunt Na P were very poor and looked like a team who thought they couldn't be beaten.
Kilmallock hurled well but not sure why but I can't see SARS losing to them in Munster c/ship. Might sound crazy but the tight confines of Kilmallock will suits SARS much more than the Kilmallock lads.

Farce of draw stucture at minor

Cork be better loosing to limerick at home ,wont happen, but winning is no use as loosing they would get to an all ireland quater final ,as you got to just get to a munster final

As for the hurling ,minor is just as bad,you beat team ist round could meet them in semi final, should be kept apart to til the final.
    What a complete joke

Mark my words limerick wont be uo for the ist round game seven last year, they are building,so they will get better benfit in having more games.

Cork must box clever ,yes no one wants to loose games but if the system fails you ,you have no choice but to pick and choose games no point peaking for april being out in july.
    What a joke.

Did Pa get sent off in a league game or is someone telling me pork pies.

Agree sars snappy hurling is well suited to take on kilmallock in their own place, but would still think kilmallock can get the win.

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭ thinkstoomuch1

Colm o neill suffered a,shoulder injury in that ,hybrid of an aussie rules game training, could be out for a while at least ,if the injury is as bad as feared

A player, man i have huge time for,if it is a bad as feared i wish him the best in hes recovery.Awful news ,i feel for him.I hope its not that bad ,and turns out to be just a,scare.

Another promising young hurler suffered bad injiry recently but wasnt as bad as initially feared.

He will be fine for Sunday

Will paddy loughin start kilmallock this year?

Ye got tough u21 draw but tipp at home ,if kiely gets rid of tom ryan
    Yan ye could win
Kiely is a very good manager

He is the real deal paddy ,lad has it all
As you know even last year i,was huge fan before even played minor

Sars beaten by eirns own league semi final, i said it eirns own had a chance, sars had no intensity i would think in that game.

Blackrock have golden chance win it now, nice money you win it for the club, certainly not to be,sneezed at.
Good for cork sars are out of it.
Colm.o.neill loss is huge for cork.
Its a mickey mouse game imo comprimse rules i have no time for it

    Should be ended

Yeah I have no idea why anyone would put C'Martyr as over-whelming favourites on Saturday.

Yes we have a lot of experience at junior level...but Hassig have a lot of experience at intermediate/senior level, which I'm inclined to think counts for a lot more. They have a much bigger pick than we do, are able to field 3-4 teams at adult level (to their credit) while we can barely put on a second team. They have been much more successful at an underage level than we have been, and have consistently played at a higher level underage.

Moreover its a 15-20 man game. Yes we have the Lawtons and O'Tuama but we also have a bare squad, have lost a number of important players since last year, and now have 3-4 19 year olds starting or close to starting that have almost no experience playing at a county level. In contrast the Hassig squad has lads experienced at Premier Inter/Senior level and they have the likes of Dineen and Aherne, who was one of the best center-backs in the county for years. In general their team is used to playing at a much higher level of hurling. We've been playing almost non stop over the past 7 weeks, close to every weekend, while Ballinhassig have had a nice break and showed much better form in the semis, hammering the team that knocked us out last year.

All in all the smart money is most definitely on Ballinhassig.

    You fool.no one.but yourself

    Get out the violin
Every other club has problems more so than castlmwtyr even
Youre clutching at staws with 19 year old parts

Ballincollig just won county senior with cian kiely

Na piarsaigh had ronan ,lynch ,mike casy below 19 won munster clun

I can go on and on
Sars won ist county bout six young lads years ago

Newtown won 2009 jamie coughlan just 17 had few othrr young ladd

I mentioned dinneen and ahern already but ahern a great club player hampered now by injury and lawton apparently untouchable by some should if hes that good be,able for him

This is their second team, dont mind your cobble rubbish, anyone junior ranks gave ballinshaigg no chance really this year

I expect castlematyr to win, many do,ye loose its down to ye not perforning not ballinshaug veen unbeatable

This is junior grade with respect ,yes tough hardly elite all ireland final.

Talk the talk there ,you may convince yourself eventually

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭ Orizio

Cian Kiely is a Cork Minor. Ballincollig, Newtown and Sars are clubs building on massive success underage. Two of them are two of the biggest clubs pickwise in Cork. None are in anyway comparable to C'Martyr. Na Piarsigh pick from half of Limerick city ffs. The rest of the post is just rambling and insults.

Just look at the formlines - C'Martyr stumbled past Newcestown/Cloughduv, Ballinhassig hammered the team that knocked out C'Martyr last year. Anyway that went to both semis will tell you who the favourite is. Yet again, smart money is only going one way.

    Who do CBC have?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭ thinkstoomuch1

The point you clearly twist is 19 or younger have played in senior county finals,or younger senior, not junior,so your lament that ye have 19 year olds in a junior yes junior final could go against ye doesnt hold up as viable excuse to loose
15 players make up a team ,not three or four

I.never well you know it,but just cause im right you twist like you tried last week saying all I said was negative towards ye,when I Clearly proved otherwise. You ignored my reply then as i clearly spoke good castlematyr then.

Not once did I say na piarsaigh had smaller pick my point in case, lynch younger than 19 played higher level,no big deal 19 year old in junior final.

Explain why many ,for example john looney u 17 outstsnding aghada, intermediate,Gunning for na piarsaigh at 18,shane walsh bride, dayne lee na piarssigh senior, luke meade same newcstown intermediate, yes all cork lads but age no hindrance

I can list many non cork players belown 19 played and done well junior even senior finals

And if youre on bout small picks, newtown same if not worse than ye
If ye havent won underage ,thats for ye to sort it ,no one else.
Ye did ,as i said stumble past newcestown second team,i agree again ye should won that handy, same with cloughduv.
Fact is ye cant close out games fast must learn to do so as on paper ye,should beating at least cloughduv handy

Anway have the last your point doesnt hold up Ye should win Sunday, simply must after east cork junior titles and if ye dont poor reflection on yere east cork success imo.

    Wow
    http://m.hoganstand.com/Home/Details/226431

Who's on the committee to replace them and who are the contenders for the u-21 and intermediate slots?
This completely slipped under the radar almost.

Great news for Cork in u21 hurling,it was known for a while kenneally had taken a bit of a unhappy view in and i posted two weeks ago there could be a,change in the,set up,i didnt say it here as with ccb always poosibilty u turn to keep him there

Basically like i said horse pat was, groomed for senior job and wasnt happy that jbm who had left, was persuaded,to stay,he,did, pat wasnt happy at all at all,he wanted it.

He walked then.Once hes not pulled in to senior set up now but i couldnt imagine it
To be honest great day for cork hurling and lets pray to jesus for the ist time in six years we get lad who knows what hes doing.

Alan browne no way,but dont be,suprised he gets it
Pat mulchay if not in senior set up,as lot uncertainty there still should be in frame

Pat ryan ,doubt he commit to it
Landers could be after coaching killagh u 21s but board may not give to.him and it affects minors he goes
    I doubt hed leave
Fergal ryan, wayne sherlock would come in to the fray

    Sean o brien
    Eddie murphy
Crucial development for cork, and we must get it right

As for intermediates big shock hayes is gone, but gave two great years, great manager

Johny keane should get it,proven at this level with cork, ballycough, grenagh, kilbrin etc
Cork can beat waterford,at home right manager,as pa callaghan may play

Then clare at home could push them
If its tipp in final we have home, advantage
Right manager we have a chance

Eammon.murphy in hes articles, club delgates,ex cork greats must now demand we get proven manager this time, not just profile names.

Sad news, liam is gone ,thank you for,a wonderful year
liam if availbe should be in u 21 set up selector
Great news pat is gone, just was not up to management clearly proven by results.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,250 ✭✭✭ Horse84

When I first read it I said yes that's it Kenneally is being brought into the senior set up to groom him before jbm goes in 2 years. God help us if it turns out like that

Macroom being hammered by tralee in the corn ui mhuiri. 4-9 to 6

  • Registered Users Posts: 9,460 ✭✭✭ Orizio

CCR and Macroom being well beaten.

  • Registered Users Posts: 260 ✭✭ Indie.

4-10 to 1-11. Macroom were very poor.

anyone know when the underage winter panels will be announced.
The AG Mon will be a hard nut to crack not to be underestimated

  • Registered Users Posts: 4,557 ✭✭✭ zetecescort

Ballyhea v Lixnaw changed to 1pm throw in, presumably to give people a (small) chance of going to the county final in PUC

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,276 ✭✭✭ thinkstoomuch1

Horse thats understandable....i would think same myself but coudnt imagine jbm my hero, legened, would,do it,if he,did it pains me to say it,id loose all respect for jbm as manager. It wont happen, almost gurantred now not to.

    Great,day for cork hurling.

Pat hartnett u21 hurling manager winner midelton good, coach could be in the, fray

This sub committe frightens me,who picks manager, bob, frank two certaines there, and probaly pat horgan midelton.

Its absoultey vital we get this right, club delgates for once show some real balls, conviction ,and remember the mess were in with cork football they allowed happen by not voting, uniting against cuthbhert owe it to cork do right thing now. They simply cant fail cork gaa again
    Time to redeem themselves.

Talent is there to beat waterford, new managrr, possibly beat clare, and have tipp or limerick at home munster final

Never better chance with three, definite home games

Id settle for munster year one,we wont win all ireland next year ss have pkay galway semi, huge ask,win five games in year one mnb
Poor, day for all cork teams but dingle, are good but being hammered not good.

Indie you have macroom team please?
