Ard Scoil lead 0-8 to 0-7 at half-time, neither side has been ahead by more than a point in the entire game.

Ronan Lynch goal for ASR, they lead 1-10 to 0-10.

Ard Scoil open the lead out to 6.

Goal for the Hammies, but Ard Scoil get a point quickly. 1-15 to 1-10.

    6 to go.

1-16 to 1-11 final score, Ard Scoil through to the semi-final vs Rochestown. Think they had the wind in the 2nd half, looks like they made good use of it. Had a bit of a purple patch where they scored 1-4 without reply.

Last minute goal by Barry Nash, Castletroy now only trail by a point to Youghal who have been ahead for the majority of the game.

    Stoppage time equaliser for Castletroy!

Castletroy win 1-14 to 0-16. Down by 5 with 2 minutes to go, they scored 1-3 without reply to pull off an unbelievable comeback.

    A v B ASR

    Final

Quarter finals all went as predicted although Castletroy left it late today.
Rochestown could cause upset in semi but I expect Thurles to win it out.

I'd agree with you going from past results, Thurles would look to be the strongest.

The semifinalists probably reflect the relative strengths of the counties at the moment with 2 Limerick 1 Cork and 1 Tipp team. Doon came very close to getting through to knockout stage also and West Limerick Colleges had the toughest group and drew with the team that will probably win it out. Cork supporters will be disappointed to lose 3 teams at quarterfinal stage.

Hard to know, having 4 teams to get through to the knockout stages is impressive in itself. Limerick only have 4 competing teams, but they are all of a pretty decent standard. By all accounts, Cork are the strongest team at minor this year.

What are people's predictions for the two games?
I'm going with: Roco vs Ard Scoil....verdict: Roco (could go either way)
    Thurles vs Castletroy......verdict: Thurles

I think Thurles will be too strong for castletroy
Hoping ard scoil's experience and Ronan lynch having a stormer will get them over Roco...will be close id say

I will stick with my prediction but very impressed by Rochestown.
If they all stay fit they could do it as Thurles have not been hitting top form and just about doing enough to win.

Not an almer mater of Thurles myself but i was happy to see a Tipperary school win it. That said i wish Rochestown all the best for the remainder of the competition. Lots of hurling to be done yet and indeed its not always the provincial/harty winners that win the Croke cup in the end.
