Team Value

We had a thread on this last year and although team value shouldn't be a big factor in how you play the game, it's always worth keeping an eye on what the forum 'average' is to see what kind of advantage the cash you have in the kitty will give you for the latter half of the season when it really becomes an advantage over the casual players. It will be interesting to see whether the current issues FISO and TotalFPL are having will affect players team value, as it becomes harder to predict what players will rise and fall on any given night. This becomes even more apparent when players are using their wildcard and trying to earn some cash on double price rises.

I'll kick it off anyway - my current team is £100.6 with £0.4m in the bank, so £101m total. I'm sure there are a few on the forum with closer to £101.5, especially with the Jovetic double jump this week. Some people actually make a game of this every season, playing FF purely to get the highest team value. I'd get pretty bored of this to be honest, not sure how much skill is actually involved. A number of teams are currently on £102.1m which is likely the max possible at this stage. You can see the most expensive teams, best leagues etc at the bottom of the 'Status' page.

Same total so far of 101m (100.4 & 0.6 in bank)

Means very little this early as 0.1 rises not 'bankable'.

Have lost money on Mata and Caulker so far, but have tried to keep on high rising players like Siggy and Jovetic. Thinks it's important at this stage wildcard or not, cause as you said elsewhere a steady drop of 0.1 drops will soon leave you in bother. I see lots of players in my leagues with total values less than 100m already.

The amount of times I hear people moaning that I have found a 'cheat' in the game when I end up having £5m-£10m more than them towards the end of the season.... maybe have a look at those non playing subs you have that are leaking cash out the back door!

No transfers made as of yet. Allowed Mata to drop .1m and that worked out very nicely with him being my captain. This is my 3rd full season playing the game and in the two previous seasons I didn't quite get the hang of chasing team value as much as I would have liked but hopefully this season I will be able to amount a sizeable team value come the January wildcard when things move up a gear.
