    Aren't Friday nights fabulous? :o

    you think you're bad? ha

Im listening to the Louisville Kentucky police scanners.

I kid you not, there are reports of a real Purge, (like the Movie, yes ) happening there tonight.
The police are taking it seriously.
Just said black and white males walking down some street saying the Purge is real, The Purge is real.

    Friday nights indeed :o

    fridays indeed.

If I see anyone jumping ticket barriers on public transport. They're not stealing from me directly I know, but if I'm putting up the 70 odd quid a month along with everyone else it pisses me off no end. It's a point of principle and I've no problem calling them out on it. Trivial? Maybe.

People who can't or won't help themselves. My best friend was working in a salon where her boss was messing her around probably because she knew my friend wouldn't know any better. She was making her go on training days to Dublin, nothing paid and no wages. She wasnt being paid for public holidays, and when she came back from maternity leave, her job was gone and she was given maybe 8hrs a week, she was full time.

She's been back from maternity leave a year and a half, being messed around for that long. Going in for half days, being sent on unpaid training but not being allowed finish it. She finally found a new job, her manager is raging she left and is telling her all she is owed is 4 hours holiday pay.

Clearly untrue as she should have been building up holidays on maternity leave. I suggest to my friend she tell her old manager she knows she's being messed about and to come back to her with the actual amount she's owed but my friend doesn't want to do that because she feels like she'd be "harassing" her.

Though the thoughts of being owed lots of holidays and what she could buy with all the money has been playing on her mind. I told her have a chat with those citizens info people, see where she stands, and just tell her. Do you think she's bothered? Nope!

Now she's annoying me texting me asking what she should do, because she hasn't sent the 4hr holiday pay or p45.

    There's no helping some people

Why won't she ring Citizens Information? All they do is tell you what you can and can't do, don't try to force you into anything...

I could be wrong, but as far as I know, if you leave.......you are not entitled to holiday pay.

They do owe it to you and she should have been paid her holiday pay at the end of each year. She also owes her wages for days training, and my friend is too much of a simpleton to say "stop bull****ting me, pay me what you owe me".

Well I can't think of another word to describe someone who'd let their job treat them like that, break laws, basically make her unenployed right after having a baby, (she's worked 50 hours since January) and still be worried to ask for what's actually owed to her, instead send me a stream of text messages since Tuesday asking me what she should do, then doesn't do it. Yeah, "simpleton" is a pretty fitting description right now.

Well, if she is reluctant to take her boss to task, you would do her a great service by taking he to a solicitor for a chat. The holiday pay thing can be a bit of a problem, you get X holiday pay per month worked, but I think it varies for part time hours, and some of it can be "clawed back" if you have been out sick. I.E, you lose X holiday pay per month sick.

She's a grown woman, and is a mother. Surely she shouldn't need someone to take her by the hand and drag her places. That's my trivial annoyance, that she's incapable of helping herself, picking up the phone and calling citizens information.

Her boss is trying to tell her she's not entitled to holiday pay for maternity leave which is false. She was out for 26 weeks (full time before she went on maternity). So she's supposed to get public holiday pay and build up Same holidays as if she was there.

Then for every 100 hours worked youre owed 8 hours holiday as far as I know.

Then, when she came back to work her manager had replaced her position with someone else, and my friend was left with maybe 1 day a week until about Christmas, then she got 3 weeks full time work, and 50 hours of work since January. That in itself is illegal. She should have come back to the position she left. As she wasnt working many days there was no need for her to use the holidays or sick days.

It's not like she's rolling in cash either, she's a small child to mind. Time she stopped expecting everyone else to do things for her

Not trivial, in my opinion, it's costing those of us who pay.

Single families who commandeer the cool activity at a playground and refusing to share it with other children.

My roommates and the lack of privacy my OH and I have, are more then trivially annoying because I'm rarely alone with my boyfriend for long which has meant we haven't had any alone time for over a month.

They've been gone only 2 weekends, the first I was at his great aunts 50th anniversary and was staying with his grandparents with him while I was there so no smart alone time there and the second he was injured on his work trip and exhausted and that was two weeks ago. I want one bloody hour so I don't feel like a geriatric patient when I'm not even 21 yet. I don't think thats too much to ask do you guys

Not being able to continue a YT video while the phone is on sleep, also not being able to open another tab while keeping YT playing in the backround.

    What a load of b*llocks.

ANYWAY, I've had a rough week, and to cheer me up he finally agreed to let me give him an 'intimate' wax. He text me after I went home to tell me how special I am to him, how he's happy he met me and how hell never do anything that may jeprodise our friendship, despite how much he likes me.

Passing the buck. I read something during the week about a child with a peanut allergy going into anaphalactic shock after a passenger on the same Ryanair flight opened a packet of peanuts, despite repeated warnings that there were other passengers on the flight with nut allergies. Clearly the guy was an arsehole to do what he did, but the real culprits are Ryanair.

They knew that there were people with nut allergies on the flight but sold the peanuts on the flight, then expected people not to eat the nuts they'd bought. If they hadn't sold the nuts then the incident wouldn't have happened. Fcuking Ryanair, mumble, mumble, mumble:mad:

I'm guessing he boarded with the nuts. Usually when someone has an allergy they won't sell them on the flight.

When you buy a 12" pizza and pint offer and then don't have room for the pizza. Feeling heavy the next day.

Legal Discussion forum and Prison forum threads are susceptible to this, as well as AH forum threads.
