Any thought on this team lads?

    Courtois
    Evans-Wilson-Moreno
    Sterling-Ramsey-Fabregas-Siggy-Henderson
    Falcao-Costa

    Myhill-Duff-Taylor-Naismith

    0.2 left in the bank.

or change the backline to :

    Krul / Mannone
    Clyne Evans Azpilicueta (Wilson, Duff)

    0.1 left in thebank

I would not be so sure about Evans.
    1) Will United's defence improve?
    2) Will evans play enough? If they stay with three at the back then perhaps Rojo and Smalling and Jones play. But if they move to a back 4 then it should be Shaw, Rojo, Jones or Smalling, Rafael.

Bah, I hate wildcards. Only contemplating playing it next week and my head is wrecked already.

    Currently have

    Courtois (Gilks)
    Clyne, PvA, Hutton, Caulker, Coloccini
    Fab, Ramsey, Mata, Siggy, Albrighton
    Rooney, Costa, Jovetic

Assuming Costa is fit for sake of argument, I still probably need or could do with moving Caulker, Mata, Albrighton, Jovetic and Rooney in the short to medium term. When I'm at it would probably change 1 or maybe 2 more.

Ignoring the whole price changes/ team value headache, would I just be being stubborn trying to tough it out with a couple of 4 point hits over the next couple of weeks to head towards the team I want?

Deciding to play it or not will obviously massively influence my transfers this week.

Seeing the tumbleweeds have finally blown away from this thread, any thoughts on whether this warrants a wildcard next week?

I think they'll improve as they go on, I had Jones up until last night, doubtful for the weekend so got Evans in for .1 cheaper. Hmmmm maybe I'll upgrade him to Moreno!

For me, theres 4 or 5 players in your team that I'd shop out. Maybe 6, depending on how rooney does this week. Thats what the wc is invented for.

Any thoughts about my wildcard team?

    Krul (Elliot)

    Clyne-Wilson-Kelly (Duff,Taylor)

    Tadic-Fabregas-Sterling-Siggy (King)

    Balotelli-Costa-RVP

Not a fan of that amount of top-heavy imbalance. But I like Balotelli as a pick the more I think about it. RVP not so much but his fixtures are better than Kun's. Kun is the man for the long term though if you want 3x big hitters.

    edging closer to finalising team
at moment thinking along these lines
    courtois gilks
    shawcross moreno colocini PVA Moore
di maria fabregas sterling siggy Boyd
    falcao welbeck Costa

if Costa out might take a chance on balotelli for one week meaning 3 pool players ......cosnsidering a saints defender too instead of rotating Colo/PVA ......
    thoughts ?

11 of your 15 players are at new clubs this year . Decent team though not sure if adm is worth 9.5 would be my only issue.

I'm not sure on adm either tbh. it's Ramsey he would be replacing too.......could end up being a one week change ! if rather have ADM if he has a big game vs QPR though than try and raise cash to get him in!
not much certain about that team though apart from siggy :D

Wildcard has been active trying to get price rises. Only positive so far was avoiding rooney's drop. I've been converted to the cheapo defence logic with 3 big hitters.

Selection dilemmas for me now are this

clyne and Rooney vs Moreno and Balotelli (I like liverpools fixtures but think I'm letting my club bias sway me)

Can only keep one 9m ish mid - choice between Ramsey, Silva, Fab or maybe a punt on ADM. leaning toward Silva as he plays most advanced but then Fab has been v consistent so far and chelsea are playing good football to boot.

    cost wise
    Defence 30m
    Mids 37.3m
    Fwds 32.6m

    cash .3

    who are your 3 attackers?

with no guarantee of who will be playing & no1 bar Costa screaming of any form I think you are taking a bit of a risk putting so much emphasis on your attackers

On my wildcard currently, how does this team look? Bench in brackets.
    Courtois (Gilks)
    Kaboul Clyne Taylor (Duff Williamson)
    Siggy Fabregas Mata Ramsey (Zaha)
    Costa/Welbeck/Rooney

    .6 in the bank.

    Mignolet (Gilks)

    JT Ivanovic Evans Blackett Clyne

    Sterling Tadic (Siggy Quinn Boyd)

    Costa Rooney Balotelli

Am I crazy opting for this formation?

No Arsenal or City coverage. Looking to change this in couple of weeks

You're crazy having Evans AND Blackett in there!

latest draft (0.2 in the bank):

    Krul (Elliot)

Ivanovic | Wilson | Van Aanholt (Wisdom + Moore)

Fabregas | Sterling | Siggy | Di Maria (Marney)

    Aguero | Costa | Welbeck

    Opinions??

    Both will play the wkend.

Siggy can come in the following week.

But yes Blackett will be first on the chopping block.

Anyone ever opted for this route?

Likelihood of scoring big is probably low?

    Are you on your WC?

Sorry to be blunt but that is a horrendous team. Your midfield is awful, way too much invested in your defence. And for God's sake get Mignolet out of goals. You have 9 players from United, Liverpool and Chelsea, you need a bigger spread of teams.

Agree with this. That team is what would commonly be referred to as a "Step AWAY from the computer" moment.....

I don't think it's a great strategy to bring in a player that you will just have to get rid of after a week.

Blackett may be first on your chopping board now.... But it's very rare that a cheap defender is going to get priority. Very rare :)

He could be there till Christmas if you don't take a hit to get him out.
I'd look at picking him in your WC as a -4 point hit just waiting to happen. And there's nothing really to gain by that imo.

I'd be surprised if both of them play this weekend, United got a lot of players that they need to get onto the pitch, the likes of Rojo and Blind and Smalling coming back from injury.

Looks like a very good team. Personally would probably go for Duff over Wisdom but overall i think you're looking really, really good

Yes I am currently on WC.

Chelsea, Liverpool, Utd & Soton play 3 of their next 4 games at home!

Feel like really attacking these games with a strong defence strategy as I feel that out of the 16 clean sheets on available that between the 4 teams that will hit at least 50% which would be a good return.

But I understand the point that major re-structuring will be needed after this :(

Im on my wildcard with 2.1 mill in the bank.

Im not sure about the strike force.

    Might change falcao to agureo.

Alot of injury / not guaranteed starter doubts for wc week - costa, Ramsey, falcao.

I also can't decide between Naismith or Welbeck. Welbeck has a tough fixture this week.

    What do you think?

    Mannone (Krul)
    Coloccini, Debuchy, Azpiliceuta, (Wisdom, Hutton)
    Siggy, Ramsey, Fabregas, Sterling, (Boyd)
    Naismith, Costa, Falcao.

  • Registered Users Posts: 93 ✭✭Tommyboy87

    Forster (Green)

Moreno | Jones | Robertson (Ferdinand + Wisdom)

Fabregas | Sigurdsson | Di Maria | Sterling (King)

    Falcao | Costa | Welbeck

Will replace Falcao this week with Balotelli if he doesn't have his work permit sorted and replace Robertson next week with Neil Taylor.

    What do people think??

No Man City attacking players! Falcao/Di Maria for Aguero/Silva for me personally! 2 Utd attacking players is too much based on current form!

I don't normally play 4-3-3(prefer 3-4-3) but was tinkering around with my wc and came up with team below.

It's actually 4-2-4 if Wenger is to be believed when saying Sanchez will play as a striker.

It looks fairly versatile in that I can go 3-4-3 or 4-3-3 depending on fixtures.

    Thoughts?

    Mannone (Myhill)

Vlaar Chambers Chester (de Laet, Caulker)

    Henderson Siggy Ramsey Fabregas (Marney)

    Aguero(V) Rooney Costa(C)

0.4 ITB and itching to play my WC with potential Ramsey, Costa and Vlaar out with injury.
