I've found aiming "back out" and "back in" again with the shotguns helps me get kills more often. It seems to "reset" the auto-aim and refocus on the target if that makes sense.

Was playing yesterday in random squads. Playing with a guy from Holland, very good player. Carried me most of way tbh. Was just me and him left in our squad. Towards the end he switched on his mic to talk tactics. Turned out my hero who had revived me on at least two occasions was a 9 year old (almost 10 he said :-D) kid. I switched off the PS4 after that game.

I know you added me but I'll be on about ten later if ya want to play , I usually play with 2 english lads there very good

I dont play online games with friends anymore, I usually play single player games these days but I have the odd game of COD WW2 when I can be bothered but I usually play on my own (I would say its one of few online games I can get away with playing alone)

Would Fotnite suit a gamer like me? Or do I absolutely need to play with friends? (I am not looking for anyone to stay playing with - I much prefer to play alone)

No you dont need to play with friends, you can play solo (as in you vs 99 other people) or in a group and when your in a group you dont need to be on mic or anything just stick with your team and cover their asses while they cover yours.

It's fine to play solo but things like this are nearly always better in a group. I've played a few games and can't gel with it. The building mechanic isn't for me. Haven't put any time into it so it could still click but I've other games on the go and the Horizon, it's been hugely popular.

I find majority of people to be very friendly in public groups on fortnite. You can see each other's energy and shield levels and people will share med kits and shield potions. Majority of team mates will always come to your rescue when you are knocked down. Very friendly place to play even with strangers and no mic.

Yeah the fortnite community is generally pretty good in my experience. I've grown tired of fortnite because I started playing in September but you can play solo, duos or squads of 4. I found solo boring but that might just be me.

As a fellow solo player, I didn't find an ounce of enjoyment in Fortnite. I would possibly play it if it wasn't for the building mechanics, where people can literally build a wall in a second, ruins it for me. There are better games out there imo for the solo players.

I've just downloaded it for my 11 year old & im waiting to get a registration code. Can I ask is it suitable for his age. Is it possible to interact (as in chat) with strangers in this game. I never heard of this game until yesterday and then he asks today if he can download it.

He will be fine to play it. There's no real violence or gore, players get downed and explode in to loot (basically the inventory they were carrying) when killed. Just beware that voice chat is enabled and as usual there are some who abuse it, but it's not bad overall.

Just need one more sniper kill (have a total of 1 so far) and that pesky crossbow kill and ill be fully up to speed with the challenges to date. Cannot snipe for ****e and that crossbow one is going to be the death of me. The trap kill one took forever to get done aswell.

Play Duos/Squads. You don't need a partner/teammates, you can play on your own. Look for some enemies, knock down one with any gun (AR, shotgun, etc.) and finish him off with the crossbow. As long as you use it to finish the downed guy with, it will count towards the challenge.

You can use the same trick for any of the other kill challenges. Pistol Kills, SMG Kills, even the Trap Kill one.

Started playing this last week because my nephew was annoying me to download it.. He is 8yrs old and Im alot older, had a few games with him and was good fun, then the next day I get a party request to join a game with him and his mates..lol.. I had to set myself to offline,

The new guided missile is a bit too strong. In solos, you can be very vulerable when controlling it. But it's totally different in duos/squads when you have a teammate to cover for you.

Played some duos and we found it in 2 of those games. We nearly won both. The 1st one we got to 3rd, the 2nd one we won easily. In the 2nd one, it was both of us vs just 1 person. The poor guy didn't stand a chance. I just kept shooting the missile until eventually he made a mistake and there was a gap in his base. I drove the missile through the gap to get inside his base and exploded it right at his feet for the win.

I haven't found one or been killed by it yet. The rockets aren't that hard to shoot. I'm still enjoying the new mode although I find at times you end up in very long close range engagements since it's hard to hit with them up close.
