How do you view tryin to con your Ref in terms of Dirt that you were stating above?

Just for your record, which seems to be broken.

That clearly shows Aidan pulling him close, the other angle clearly shows McMahon putting his head in for a headbutt... the two can happen in conjunction. Aidan is a strong lad but I don't think he snapped McMahons neck forward as he drew him in.

Pity you aren't so quick at actually taking them, though are you? You might want to tone down the self congratulatory slaps on the back for your cuteness, until your players have a few All Ireland medals in their back pockets.

The beheading? Oh that's very witty. Very witty indeed. Perhaps next time, you'll work in a joke about Anne Boleyn, or Maire Antoinette losing her head (geddit? :D ) during the French Revolution.

Won't change the cold hard facts of what actually happened though, nor will your telling people to stop bringing it up. It only draws more attention to it. So well done you !

Self congratulatory... that's certainly a first.
My opinion is that we were naive before, then we eventually copped on, how is that self congratulatory.
What you send to be missing is the fact that I've already stated that it should be a red card if spotted. An unlucky one to get, but one all the same.

I think I'm entitled to make fun of the hysteria that is going on in fairness.
Anyway, I'll let you back to your cake ;)

Is it because o carroll is made of glass that there is so much talk from dublin about that tap?

Irrespective of whether it was on purpose or foul play or not I think to refer to it as a tap is condescending to o carroll and you seem to be suggesting in some way that he's soft. He got 10 stitches from what was a lot more than a tap. I've no idea whether it was on purpose

Well just gotta agree to disagree on that one - the second angle makes the headbutt incident look a lot less bad than it did before hand. Even Mayo supporters in the other thread have acknowledge that there isn't much in it.

I wonder if RTE would be as quick to flaunt that Geary woman about if she wasn't good looking, i wouldn't think so

In fairness to "that Geary woman" whose first name is common knowledge she was the captain of last seasons champions and she's won a handful of all Irelands and all stars. She's a high profile ex player, the fact that she is attractive has nothing to do with it, she's far from the only physically attractive ex player who could be picked if RTE were only interested in eye candy. Plus, they regularly bring recently retired ex players in the men's games on as panelists.

Wiklow are having a cut off RTÉ this morning for failing to mention their hurlers success.

The Sunday Game should have mentioned it, however Wicklow GAA twitter page didn't seem too bothered during the game either...not a mention of it until full time!

In fairness they showed highlights of the intermediate and junior camogie, would it be too much to ask to show 5 minutes if the u21 b final and an interview after, just shows the half assed coverage that rte give in general to GAA, they showed the least possible amount if coverage to the under 21 as it wasn't 'their' coverage as TG4 had it...
In this day and age aswell could they not have a half hour show with some selected highlights and results from the closing stages of the club championships, its its not high profile soccer, rugby or GAA they don't want to know

They put more effort into League of Ireland soccer than anything else so its hardly high profile stuff they're after. I would say it was more a misguided attempt at "letting the ladies have their day" and not wanting to put too much male stuff on. For club highlights I strongly recommend TG4's programme on a Monday night. After the next two weeks there will be a good dose of club stuff on that. I generally gave up on The Sunday Game highlights a while ago and watch TG4 now. Even if I'm not particularly good at Gaelic it beats listening to Donal Og s****ing on every week about the same things.

Agreed TG4 is excellent for coverage at all levels, frustrating that can't understand any of the analysis though!

I agree, S4C in Wales, TG4's closest equivalent in this part of the world (there is BBC Alba but its not a standalone like the other two) initially offered the option of English language subtitles years ago so you could understand the analysis by reading it then added a red button option for in-match English language commentary for its equally good rugby coverage.

and so what, image is important for TV and its not the only thing she has going for her.

if her being on helps to raise the profile of the game, then so be it.

A good looking woman on a sports programme? What? Neverrrrr!

Just be thankful that Geary is not only good looking but knows what she's talking about and is listenable to too. The same can be said about the BBC's Gabby Logan.

Be thankful sports TV in this part of the world doesn't take its lead from Italy where any woman on a sports programme is buxom and extremely good looking but equally doesn't have a clue what she's talking about and has a voice like a screech owl being sodomised.

What a ridiculous statement. Have you any idea how many All Ireland medals the woman has? She's better qualified than anyone else to be on RTE.

RTE have Joanne Cantwell, Clare McNamara and Jackie Cahill on the payroll too...all just as good as the men are. Some of them are a damn sight better than the eegits like Marty Morrissey are. Are they all just being "flaunted" by the national broadcaster too? God forbid a woman gets a job on the telly, because she has a functioning brain, as well as not looking like a cave troll !

Have to agree with ProudDUB. My wife and I were discussing the matches yesterday. I had watched them, she hadn't but she was surprised when I told her about Briege Corkery winning her seventh camogie All Ireland and going for her tenth football All Ireland in two weeks time. I also said that when she got the ball for the goal and I realised it was her who had it, it was one of those moments where you know what's going to happen before it does. My wife was annoyed that she'd won so many but that she'd never heard of her thanks to the fact that if a man won half as much as Corkery has he'd be plastered all over everywhere whereas because Corkery is female she gets a cursory mention two or three times a year. I had to agree that it was a very fair point. Subsequently, the accusations that someone like Geary is only on The Sunday Game because she looks good are somewhat understandable given the lack of focus on successful women in sport with the exception of perhaps tennis. There's no reason Corkery or Geary should be considered any less suitable for the role than Shefflin even, but the vast majority know who Henry is whilst they wouldn't recognise Anna or Briege in a photoshoot.

I know where ye're "taking" this but I have to say I really can't agree with ye. I've heard worse voices though.
