    Just drive home from West Cork to Swords. That was incredible along the M8. It was what I can imagine storm chasing in the US feels like. Amazing sunset driving into a huge cell and everything got dark very quickly.

    Probably not but there should be buckets of rain falling in Dublin right now. Massive intensification of one section of the rain as is has begun passing opver Dublin....probably orographic lift helping

    The ESB app is almost as good as a lightning dectector, 2 faults here on west coast at around 1700 when lightning struck

    Big clap of thunder directly overhead in Achill now and heavy hail. The roof was shaking. Lights flickered on and off but are back for the moment.

    It been years since I saw this, its nearly pitch dark in castlebar, its snowing along with hail, bright flashes of lightning and loud thunder!!
