Really depends on how good there p and k are. Curtains spent 12k on feet this yr I think but they have very good p and k status and grass grows with a sniff of N.
Here were still building p and k could spend 25/30 on fert in the yr
Might have to cut back to maintance level's next yr
    Ouch that's fair amount

My own group took on another 2500 cows this year

A small purchasing group joined ours

What would u reckon u saved by using group
We done a survey last yr in group savings from 1000e up to 11000e in group
Which worked out at 800/hr for the smallest return
    That did not include banking
I hear banks are willing to deal again

Are there new storage/ transport regulations with regard to ammonium nitrate affecting the price of that and CAN?

Sorry don't know of any safety regs with N.
Don't think that transport regs are what's driving price.
Yara have slowed production significantly to drive up the price just like OPEC of old. But there must be more to it than that..

    Straight 34.4% N = €317/ton today.

Why is the price of fert so strong?:(

After dropping the 12% straight phos we had ordered.
Going over whole farm 1st march with 1.5 bags of 10/10/20
Might get a round of N out before it depending on what soil temps are like.

I was offered DAP for €365/ton.
    Dap = 18 - 48 - 0 if I remember correctly.

The rep here was saying south American demand and Egypt not getting gas too readily from Russia are pushing up prices?

Is that the same unit measurements as in ROI?

At these sort of prices if just grazing yearlings would you nearly get away without fert. Was looking at a ton 10.10.20 for 10 acres I am thinking of just grazing with yearling bullocks from March to Nov and not taking a cut of silage of it.. Not sure if it is cost effective to spend €440/450 on a ton 10.10.20.

Definitely pay you to go with 10.10.20 especially when you have no slurry.
