Laughable, He was arguably the best FB in the league last year though Zabaleta would argue against that.

I like Flanagan he seems very intelligent and hard working but he's average. Technically he's not a patch on Rafa.

Still think Raf played well today even though he was lucky to stay on the pitch. The hand ball is clouding people's judgement of his performance.

    He's so overrated.

Jan did nothing today! We are a team totally lacking any attacking threat! 1 shot on target!

Yep he came closest to providing it and instigated the move that led to our only shot on target !

I'm outta here for a while.
Not going to get into discussions on today, suffice to say I'm disgusted.

The Doc summed it up fairly well for me, my support for the manager is dangling by a thread also.

September 1 - United suffer first defeat under Moyes as Daniel Sturridge gives Liverpool victory at Anfield. Wayne Rooney misses the game with a nasty head wound after being kicked in the head accidentally by Phil Jones in training.

September 22 - Hammered 4-1 at Manchester City. This time Robin van Persie is absent with a thigh injury.

September 28 - United lose 2-1 at home to West Brom, ending the Baggies' 35-year wait for an Old Trafford triumph.

October 19 - Concede last-minute Adam Lallana equaliser against Southampton at Old Trafford.

December 4 - Bryan Oviedo scores four minutes from time as Everton end their 21-year wait for an away win over United.

December 6 - Rio Ferdinand criticises Moyes' policy of leaving it late to pick his teams, claiming on BT Sport: ''It turns you into a madman.''

December 7 - Yohan Cabaye gets the only goal as Newcastle win at Old Trafford for the first time since 1972.

December 10 - Van Persie suffers thigh injury taking a corner against Shakhtar Donetsk, and is ruled out for seven weeks.

January 1 - Rooney plays in the defeat by Tottenham but is then ruled out for four weeks with a groin injury.

January 5 - Swansea win at Old Trafford for the first time as Wilfried Bony's late goal sends United out of the FA Cup at the third-round stage for the second time in 30 years.

January 7 - Defeat in Capital One Cup semi-final first leg at Sunderland means a third straight loss for the first time since May 2001.

January 19 - Skipper Vidic is sent off as United crash to defeat at Chelsea.

January 22 - United beat Sunderland 2-1 in the Capital One Cup semi-final return leg thanks to Javier Hernandez's last-gasp effort in extra-time, but come off worst in an awful penalty shoot-out, with only Darren Fletcher scoring from their five kicks.

February 1 - Stoke end their long wait for a win against United. Charlie Adam's double gives them their first since 1984.

February 7 - Vidic confirms he will leave at the end of the season.

February 9 - United come from behind to lead bottom side Fulham at Old Trafford, but Darren Bent's stoppage-time equaliser settles a 2-2 draw to deny the hosts all three points. Moyes describes the result as being "as bad as it gets".

February 25 - It proves gruesome in Greece for United in the Champions League last 16 as a poor performance sees the Red Devils beaten 2-0 by Olympiacos in Piraeus.

March 16 - Another day United will want to forget in a hurry as two Steven Gerrard penalties and a Luis Suarez strike earns Liverpool a crushing 3-0 win at Old Trafford. It could have been even worse for Moyes' men as Gerrard also hit the post with another penalty.

    Lol
    That's constructive, well done.

Give Rodgers time and he will inevitably come under pressure like every single manager does at some point. I'd like to think that if Utd beat them during that time, our manager would have more class than to comment negatively on what Rodgers says.

And Rafael has not got the football intelligence to be a top-class right back.

One good season does not change that.

Chelsea players did that once and were rightly criticized for it. It's painfully obvious Moyes isn't up to the job already, giving the players a sense of invincibility would only make things worse.

Thats the thing though. A good manager should be able to control the dressing room and deal with poorly performing players. I don't think that's happening though, it's no good if the players are all sitting around feeling sorry for themselves in there and maybe Moyes is giving them hell in there but not getting through to them. Something needs to change and I think the players can do more about it than Moyes right now.

I don't get how those who can see (apparently) exactly what is wrong with us at the moment cannot see that Jan is currently not up to being a consistent starter, especially in big games like today. He will be a great player but he needs more consistency and to gain a bit of strength before that happens.

Yep - cause Young and Valencia have shown far more for us this season, eh?

To be fair to Jan he was one player who was trying, it was more so to do with our slow build up, passes going a foot behind the recipient rather than a foot in front was common throughout our play, poor first touches ect... this all gave Liverpool extra time to close our players down thus making it even more difficult to do anything, Jan had 3 around him by the time he received the ball and had turned to face the liverpool goal or had dragged the poor pass into his correct path.

He was running at Liverpool when he got the chance and was brave in his play, the decision to take him off was bizarre imo. Far far from our worst player.

I missed the match due to training, anyone give me a summary? I really don't want to venture into the match thread.

I beg to differ, people are just blowing off steam.Even though he was one of our better players today.

He's a top player and will be a mainstay in the side. He's been good for more than one season.

Very disappointing to hear so many "murderers" chants today. Very audible from the home crowd. Made an absolutely pathetic day worse.

Also disappointing was Gary Neville's embarrassing attempt to justify Sturrdige's dive. If that was Suarez he would have be labelled a cheat and all over the back pages, but because he's English, it's just part of the modern game. Pathetic, but its so Sky Sports that its actually a bit funny.

We gave away 3 penalties at home, we are actually such a laughing stock. Can't say anything like this is the worst day, I've had way worse days as a United fan, mainly because of how easy this was to see coming.

From a Utd perspective; only the fans turned up.

rafael is a liability. you need better.

why was moyes subbing on ferdinand that late btw? after that second peno went in he should have brought him on to calm down the back. tom cleverly is not an option from the bench. im still extremely unsure what he adds to a team like utd.
I dunno, you need a roy keane or someone like him. wayne rooney isnt that person. you are in a tough spot and big decisions need to be made. im a liverpool fan but id much rather you guys chasing the title than Chelsea and City, whose fortunes are built on the back of the poverty of their owners home countries

Don't, just remember the good times from here on in oh and also remember we aren't the same as other teams with regards sacking a manager.

As a United fan all my life I have seen lots of up's and downs. In general the result is more important than the performance.
Todays performance was one of the worst I have seen and in one way it may turn out to be a positive.
Yeah that's right because if anyone out there still thinks Moyes is the right man to take us forward then I think they are deluded.
Well before the final whistle 1,000's were leaving so I'm sure they had seen enough too.
Moyes is never going to be the one to take us forward, his past record as a manager proves that.
After Wed we will be out of the Champions League with nothing to play for except pride.
I like a lot of United fans hope the Glazers have seen enough now to know the present management are not good enough and would not risk giving Moyes & co millions in the summer to try and turn things around.

Hopefully it's kept open for a while, keep all the bellends in one place and not let it spill over into here.

The 1st leg v Olympiakos was a worse performance but it's been a season full of terrible performances and it's only worse things are getting.
Really can't see any case for keeping Moyes at the helm, even the most avid of the pro-Moyes brigade can't justify him any longer surely.
