So then ditch 20 odd players (who have almost all won things) or 1 manager who is unproven at this level. Tricky question I know...

It is a tricky question as the players are useless; Moyes, it would appear, is equally as useless.

Man City coming to OT in less then 2 weeks - dear god if we perform like that then it could be beyond embarrassment :(

How can the players who won the league last year be useless? Its a really stupid argument. The fault lies at one mans door.

Being honest, I've come to the conclusion that we do need a big cleanout of players, but there's no way I want Moyes to be the one to rebuild the squad.

Ddg, Jones and Rafa have a good account today I thought. Moyes had the poorest performance today though. Subs were late and very strange. Rooney and RVP should have been hauled off really is beyond a joke at this stage.

But the players are useless but with medals in their pockets and a replacement cost of (insert massive sum) and Moyes appears clueless and has never shown otherwise at this level. The replacement cost of Moyes is relatively low. 5 year left at I dunno 3m a year (no idea what he gets).

You can't blame this on the players. We have a premiership winning squad plus Mata. The manager is the problem. He is so out of his depth it's scary.

Rooney and RVP seemed to be playing a game between themselves to see who would drop deep to help the midfield.

Loser was United in the end.

:( Pathetic stuff from everyone it seems born out of the players can't buy into what Moyes wants from them.

Never seen a club stick by a manager as much as this. If today happened at any other club in the world then Moyes would be gone. And despite all the evidence to the contrary, I'd still be surprised if Moyes were to still be at United tomorrow.

The match thread seems to be lacking moderation it has become abusive from some and bitter from others

    Cattermole.

The team just lacked a lot of bite today. Absolutely shocking.

Going to be a load of those rumours starting up on Twitter for the next 24 hours. Highly suggest people ignore them.

It'd be scary if they weren't meeting up, am I right in saying that Nike have put a hold on signing a new deal until next year? It would tie in with the board are going to give Moyes until November/December to see how things go. Nike would have a stronger hand if Moyes is still here cocking things up.

Also ta ra Vidic. He's finished at the top level. Great servant but he's way past it.

Well that wasn't even a little surprising. Superb tactics from Rogers. When Liverpool hasn't the ball they hounded us. United just let them have it barring a few half arsed attempts.

There was one moment towards the end where Sturridge and Suarez were around our box with no support and we had 7 players around them. Still fancied them to score!

Moyes left substitutions too late and then brought on ****ing Cleverly. I want Kagawa sold. Too good for this inept manager. He turned the game against WBA.

    1 shot on goal. Again.

was there an interview with Moyes?

So..... who wants to defend Moyes?

Would give anything t see the fuker sacked tonight. Just want him gone, a shambles of a manager. He doesn't have a clue, tactically inept and cowardly.

I think the players need to take a look at themselves as much as Moyes, they are demonstrating the grip Fergie had on the team but once that was loosened you'd expect them to be professionals but they haven't been with the exception of a few, there needs to be clearout and players brought in that Moyes can look in the eye and say i bought you, play or else

That has to be the end of moyes. His position is untenable, he should just resign. His reputation is irreparably damaged now.

Yeah. "The penalties were harsh. I thought we battled well when we didn't have the ball. I thought we did enough to win today, We got to the byline a number of times. I don't know how that result happened. Sometimes in football, luck goes against you."

Or maybe there was no interview cause he's currently writing his resignation letter.

He can still grasp to the fact he followed the greatest manager to which it was an impossible job

On the plus side, I thought Fellaini had a decent game today. He broke up play well. Rafael had a good game too, penalty aside. Jones looked solid.

No, just no. He should absolutely not be given a ridiculous amount of money to bring in his "own" players. He doesn't deserve it and never deserved the job. He's absolutely out of his depth, how on earth can anybody try defend him anymore?

So, moving on from that disaster, how do you think utd overturn a 2 goal deficit in the CL during the week?

I think today showed us Janzaj is nowhere near first team quality yet, I think van Persie needs to be benched, Carrick was once again weak in midfield. There's that quote about the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Time to change it up maybe?

I don't get why people would choose "Give Moyes 200m to build his own team" over "Give a manager who isn't tactically clueless and cowardly 200m" :pac:

I don't understand this impossible job rubbish. EVERYONE at the club understood that the transition would be tough. We were willing to accept top 4, as long as we saw signs that the man knew what he was doing. He inherited the champions with an apparent 200million to buy more players. What did he do? He swanned off on holidays and brought some of his old buddies over from Everton.

Impossible job my arse. It was a dream job, that was given to a man that didn't have the credentials to do it.

No. Let's not move on from that disaster. Let's talk about this disaster before we have to talk about the next one.

Gravity of the situation really grabbed me today. All my life of watching football Liverpool have never been a better team. Better on the day maybe..but this is a real pivotal moment. Liverpool clearly in the ascendancy. They were so dominant today.

Another season like this cannot be afforded or it will be too tough to claw back.oyes needs to start making big decisions regarding players. And I mean big decisions. Not once this season has someone being dropped and you could see it as a "I dont approve of your performance..your benched".

The problem being now that the gamea are so big and he's under so much pressure doubt he will take the chance.

I'd be dropping Evra for a start and playing Buttner. Regardless of ability Evra is just taking the piss this year.

Jones and Smalling in CB...or Evans in beside jones. No more vidic.

He needs to make a call on Mata and Rooney. Can't play both. Nothing wrong with dropping Rooney. He can't be made infallable. He needs a rest. His performances are nosediving.

Fellaini I thought was pretty good again. He broke up a fair bit of play and he is just a menancr. The headbutt from Gerrard was dirt. Watched it a few times and Gerrard is 100% staring at Fellaini and purenuts him.

My support for Moyes is hanging on by a thread. Only because I'm of the believe that a fair amount if the first team squad have taken it easy this year...and he hasn't got the quality to replace them.

I said earlier in the weak you need no firing up for Liverpool and it just wasn't there today. No pressing no harassing.

Tactics were poor though. I said going 4-4-2 would be asking for trouble and that is what happened. Liverpool just wallzed anywhere they wanted.

Absolutely shell shocked after that. Like I said support for Moyes is by a thread.
