    Thursday 1.9.16

    Rest

    Friday 2.9.16

7 miles Easy@9.20min/mile again on grass along the Royal Canal to Ferns Lock and back. All good.

    Saturday 3.9.16

Rest, at the American Football in the Aviva with herself so no running. Had 6-7 pints then home.

    Sunday 4.9.16

    Mullingar Park Hotel 10km - 41.32

Had entered this weeks back as I knew I'd be traveling down home on the day for a family dinner, it was in aid of Crumlin Children's Hospital so said I'd do it as a session than flat out as I knew there would be alcohol consumed the previous day. Ran 2 miles to warm up then 6.2miles@HMP 2 miles cool down. Went well and found the pace very easy to maintain for the race, tempted on occasion to go with the few runners who passed me but sense got the better of me each time. Hip behaved itself to and no pain from it. All in all an encouraging run.

    Monday 5.9.16

    Rest, to hungover to run!!!!

Was just calculating the other day I've run the best part of half the length of the Royal Canal in various sections, can't remember ever having a bad run along it, such a tranquil place to go for a trot.

That's some turnaround. From 'I'm out for a year' to running a brisk 10 k without a bother. Good on ya. I expect you'll be going for Sub 3 in DCM :).

I signed up for the same race last week but in the end the dreaded man flu had other plans for me! Glad you're back on track.

It wasn't as fast I thought it would be for times, mean climb from 5k-7.5k that would slow you down.

The Longwood 10k in October is the next one I've registered for Marty, not to say I won't do another one between now and then though.

    Tuesday 6.9.16

30mins Recovery, two day hangover is never good. All done on grass, some stiffness in the legs from Sunday's 10k.

    Wednesday 7.9.16

    9 miles Easy@9.06min/miles in 81mins 59secs

Done this on roads around home and plotted a route in my head that would be 8 miles, I was a mile over, ah well no harm done and a very enjoyable run. Legs better than previous day and no niggles to report.

    Thursday 8.9.16

    2mile w/u, 12x45secs @ 5k off 30secs, 2mile c/d.

Having done this session before I was looking forward to getting out to do it. Went to the same location I done it last time which clocked up the 2 mile warm up. Straight into the 5k stuff and it flew past, very enjoyable, past a female cyclist on the 4th one, she wasn't impressed as I heard a few expletives as I past her!! Reps were as follows:

    5.51,5.49,5.48,5.50,5.50,5.49,5.52,5.51,5.50,5.47,5.50,5.51.

Can't be nothing but happy with these, felt strong throughout. 6.40 miles all in.

    Friday 9.9.16

    7 miles Easy@9.04min/miles in 63min 25secs

Is winter coming, Jesus wind & rain of epic proportions in the Royal County today was blown all over the place(by the wind!!) while I was out. Body feeling good.

She didn't have to cause I had the AGS singlet on, then again that could have been the reason for her expletives!!!

Time to park this for a few months, have neither the desire to run or log at the minute. The mind has sank a bit again, massive well done to Eve McCrystal who just won a Paralympic Gold medal in cycling. Sat right beside her in T'more, a supremely talented lady.

Oh no you don't, get your backside back here - the place would go to rack & ruin without you.

Sorry to hear you're feeling down, stay around though B, if for nothing else than to keep TBL on his toes....

What fd said. Hope you get the mojo back soon, even Enda loses the mojo occasionally. There's always light at the end of a tunnel.

You're one of the best posters on here so for that reason alone would hate to see you missing.
