Do you know anythin about MMA at all?

At UFC 93 we had :-

Rich Franklin - Former UFC MW Champion
Dan Henderson - Former Pride Welterweight & MiddleWeight Champion
Shogun - Former Pride Middleweight champion
Marc Coleman - Former UFC Heavyweight Champion, Pride Openweight GP winner
Denis Kang - Pride WW GP Runner up
Jeremy Horn - Legend and fought twice for UFC LHW Title

If we get just 2 fighters of that calibre for this years card i'll be surprised, and yeah, i know 'name' fighters don't always make great cards but it's nice to see some of the legends fight

Former this and runner up that . bums

    lol . scudzilla .

i was at ufc in belfast and ufc 95 in london . great card . i missed dublin but hope to get to this tine round.

talking of WWE . UFC is heading that way . with all this trash talking . and standing jake shields up after 30 seconds . how is that a fight . jon fitch cut ????? he is a great wrestler but boring to watch and the FANS want to see knockouts . UFC is a money making machine first and a quailty entertainment provider second .

you may laugh at WWE but thats the way its heading . just check out their latest token irish fighter seamus , sorry i meant conor mcgregor .

A good business plan and the only way it should work imo.

Other organisations try to be as big as UFC and they aren't.

Best main event we could legitimately hope for?

    McGregor vs Guida?
    Pickett Vs McCall?
    Faber Vs Cruz?
    Nelson Vs Lombard?
    Bisping Vs Rockhold?

In England for beyond the Octagon tonight

There is no way Cathal and Chris will let us know if they are on the card tonight. If they say they are on the card then we know instantly that Cathal loses his next fight on the show and that Chris loses either a QF or Semi. The UFC have shown previously that they are extemely protective of spoilers relating to TUF.
The only realistic announcement from the guys is that neither is on the card as they are both fighting on the TUF finale card but they wont be able to confirm if they are just on the card or in the finals.

The Pickett fight is a given, but no way we're getting either of those two. Faber and Cruz? Really?...I don't know where to start as to why that won't happen.

    Why not Nelson Vs Lombard?

Gunnar has been saying he wants a top 10 guy and Lombard has been saying the WW division is running scared. 2 birds with one stone and 10,000 happy Dublin fans...

I'd say the top 2 will almost definitely be Pickett vs McCaul and McGregor vs Miller.

Those are the usual type of fights to see on a European card.

Lombard was talking about the Top 10 guys in particular. Lombard has very little to gain and a lot to lose from fighting Gunni. Lombard is still being linked with the Diaz fight (whether or not Nick will get off his arse to do so is another story!) and that would be a much bigger fight for him, and arguably an easier fight because of the style matchup. Obviously Gunni is shouting for a Top 10 but I can't see the UFC putting a halt to Lombard or Gunni's momentum for the sake of pleasing the Irish fans who, let's face it, will just be happy to see Gunni fight anyone decent and win.
