lols... looks like I am one of the unlucky ones...

My order is in an endless loop of distracting and vague tracking updates... no hope on the horizon.

It is Chinese New Year this week Bluefoam - a lot of businesses shut down over there - a delay this week wouldn't be too much of a surprise?

I’ve posted an update on the previous page.

Nothing changed - no stuff - no answers - no nothing! I'm on to day 30 of tracking and day 20 of the repetitive apology.

Bank has given me the chargeback two days ago and the money is back on my card - there is now another 30 day period for eGlobal to challenge the chargeback so I could still lose it again, although they have to submit evidence that counters my now over 40 pages of evidence that I have already submitted to the bank.

Bought a camera elsewhere now - so with the money back on my card, I will be refusing any deliveries that arrive from eGlobal in the meantime.....

I used a BoI Mastercard. They have a form that needs to be filled out along with any supporting information. The form is here:

    https://www.bankofireland.com/app/uploads/assets/Credit-Card-Dispute-Form.pdf

It is terribly prehistoric in that the form can be submitted only by post or fax using the details at the bottom right of the form. You can not contact them directly although I have been able to get updates by calling Credit Card Services.

I used Goldfish.ie to fax the form using my email address. The first fax sent had the form and 37 pages of waffle - mostly copies of all the emails between myself and them, and some screenshots of evidence of identical tracking information for other customers such as yourself, etc.

I then sent an update a few days later with the latest emails and finally after 30 days had elapsed I added a signed letter confirming I still had not received my order or any updates from eGlobal.

The Chargeback Dept leave a lot to be desired I'm afraid in that although I got updates by ringing card services and I do have now the money back on my card, I have not actually received any confirmation or correspondence from them. I kind of laugh at the idea that I am complaining to them about no response from eGlobal and I get no response from them either! :) However, I expect something will arrive from them in the post this week.

If you're not with BOI, then I can only hope it is an easier process than all that!

Oh God that sounds like alot of work ! With bank of Ireland also but was a visa debit .I might just hold on another week or so and see if it comes. I have a friend who wants to buy it from you me. Tried to log in to trust pilot to review eglobal so people know what they are dealing with but it wanted access to all my contacts in my email so I declined .

Yeah trustpilot is a bit ridiculous - I had the same problem and didn't bother either.

The bank thing is a pain in the arse. But it's probably no harm to start compiling everything in advance now anyway. They won't entertain anything if there isn't a strong case demonstrating you have made every effort to resolve the issue yourself.

Get all your emails together - use the post of mine a few pages back where I've listed all the tracking results as evidence that your tracking is generic, etc. The more you submit initially the less chance there is of a delay while they write you a letter looking for more info that takes 5 days in the post to get to you.

Hopefully all ends well for you Tcat.

Incidentally, my tracking has stopped updating at day 30 now. I guess 30 days of fake stuff is all they could be bothered to do!

Oh really ! I had my day 30 update last night. I won't bother waiting in anticipation for any new news tonight so! Kidding of course , gave that up weeks ago :)

Well now the fun really starts!

Tracking details for Feb 6th have been changed this morning to show a link to tracking with wnDirect. They are a particularly fun shower of courier it seems looking at reviews too - although of course only unhappy people go and moan about couriers on review sites....they are bascially a retailer group facilitating intertransfer of goods across borders. The Dropshipping link probably is involved there somewhere I imagine....

wnDirect tell me they received the order today and should be transferred to An Post next week. Their information contains no locations and they refuse to tell me where the package currently is. Sound familiar? :)

It is my intention to reject it if it arrives at my door seeing as the money is already back on my card. I have no interest in accepting it and hoping it works or doesn't break in the next couple of years - and from my now deeply entrenched position on the front line of battle there is a principle to be maintained too!

I wonder will my principles will cost me money when this is all said and done?

    What fun this all is!!

It won't be delivered. Once eglobal realise the order is cancelled/refunded the item will just sit in a European warehouse. At least the next customer won't have to wait as long!

Yes, it would be nice if something good comes of all this!! :)

Although everything seems to suggest it’s coming to me - wnDirect seem to unaware of any issues with my order.

I’ve emailed eGlobal to say I won’t be accepting it at my door, although I doubt there is anyone there this week.

Postman is teed up also - as it is to be passed to An Post....

I thought I'd add to this thread. Ordered two lenses from eglobal on the 25th January. Went to the status of Picked" on the 30th in which I was expecting my tracking number... never got so had been emailing quite a few times by no reply until yesterday they sent me my dpd tracking number. This says.."We've received your order details, and we're expecting your parcel shortly" ..

Fingers crossed it gets sent. I'll keep you posted. I have ordered from them in the past twice before with no problems.

So my stuff is out for delivery today with An Post - 40 days after ordering!

I hope everyone elses items are on the way to them this week also.... finger crossed!

My lens arrived this morning. It looks perfect. I won't get a chance to test it out until I get home this evening.
I ordered on January 8th, so a little over a month to get it. I'm happy enough with that.

I’m sure it will be fine Nugget and you’ll find no issues. Glad you had a happy ending!!

Lol, it's not 40 days man! You need to count in working days. 32, if I'm counting correctly, which is a long time from Asia, but nothing out of the ordinary. At least you got your money back, keep us updated!

Tedpan, I’ll let you know what happens!

We have been through this before I thought? All Logistics do not actually stop operations over weekends. Deliveries and shipments may happen on working days only but once packages are on the move they can actually continue to move through the system 7 days a week.

So I think 40 days is a reasonable assessment! :)

Anyway, it’s absolutely not about the delivery delay with eGlobal - it’s a lot more than that. I know I’ve mentioned that before.....

Got my phone today .haven't opened it as selling it but hoping it's ok . Slightly worrying that tempered glass screen protector I ordered with it is in smithereens ! :/ Think phone should be well protected in box though

If the box hasn't taken any obvious knocks it should be fine Tcat2012.

Happy endings all around I guess - all three of our orders finally showed up - and we have done whatever we wanted with them.

I'm holding out for a final decision on my chargeback till the end of the month - refused the delivery yesterday and it's gone back to the depot to be sent back to wherever it came from.

Has anyone any experience with buying an unboxed lens with them? There's about €100 in the difference so would be a nice saving. But seems it comes with nothing, no manual or even a lens cap!

These items are generally split from kits dory - so a camera that is bundled with a lens as a kit - much like a multipack of showergel or whatever not intended to be sold separately - gets broken up and sold as two items.

Huge profit for the company, big saving for you too. I would expect no manual, but I would expect lens caps.

The quality of the lens would be the same as buying the lens separately.

Update from me - today eGlobal, for the first time in 29 days of emailing (or 21 days - to keep tedpan happy! :D), have finally specifically replied to one of my emails.

They have asked me to tell the 'courier' to return the package to them. They have also said they will provide a refund.

I have no doubt this is their usual promise to refund, but only when they actually receive the package back at their warehouse. And I am also sure that they intend to withhold the 18 euro return fee and maybe a restocking fee also - but this email will secure my chargeback one way or the other.

If they send me a refund, not realising I have already got the money from the bank, then I will enjoy returning the refund to them by whatever method suits me best. I'm feeling a cheque sent by surface mail would be quite prudent!

    Happy days.

Not likely, it would be refunded to your card, your bank will call it and return it to EGC

You’re totally correct Bluefoam - I imagine that’s exactly what would happen actually....

So a quick update for everyone:

I refused the parcel at my door and it was returned to sender - and delivered to them a few days later. The packaging was in poor condition and had various Customs tape applied to it - looks like it was opened and inspected perhaps. eGlobal said they would let me know when they received it back at their warehouse but I have heard nothing from them whatsoever since.

The 30 day period for the originating bank to challenge the chargeback has expired and the whole affair is now over and done with.

I will be asking eGlobal to close my account and remove my details from their database and have no intention of using them again at any point for any purchases. Wish me luck with that! :)

Good luck to everyone who had been fretting over their purchases here and anyone making purchases in the future. Have fun at the eGlobal Casino!!

1 2019-01-08 The parcel has been picked by the courier; The parcel has left the courier's warehouse.

The more this goes on the more I am relaxing and enjoying the ride! In fact, I was thinking of emailing them and suggesting some changes to the wording of their fake tracking to make it more believable.

"Shipment was dropped on canteen floor - breaking noises are normal"
"Shipment will be with you in [Markus - insert random number here] days"
"If you require more information please do not hesitate to go into your back garden and shout - we are as likely to reply to that as any other form of communication."

I'll check back in here at the end of the week and let you know what's happening anyway....

The giveaway the tracking is fake is that there is no time, just a date, one 'update' every 24hrs. I've never seen real tracking without an exact time of the update. All that tracking is just a charade to keep customers feeling that they're order is progressing whether it is or isn't. Until you get the 2nd real tracking number it could anywhere from eglobal knowing they wont have stock for ages to being on a plane and you'll never know the difference.
