There's trees down around my parents house in Cork that have been there for as long as anyone remembers.

Thankfully no structural damage to the house that they can tell, so far.

Tbh, never thought I'd see the day when those trees fell. Can't concentrate on anything now, with all of this happening.

Same here, although didn't try the match test. Cig smoke however was casually hovering around.

Its very windy here in Wexford town but wouldn't call it stormy, Should be peaking here in the next hour or so from what I can gather so it may pick up.

Seems to be marginally easing back in cork.
Still very very strong, but seems more gusts than the persistent high winds previously.

Remember when a few years ago there was heavy rain in dublin that flooded dndrum centre, it was headline new.
This just shows what contempt RTE hold the rest of the country.

Most if not all of Mallow town and surrounding areas now out of power - emergency fire crews have been instructed not to attend fell trees until given the of ahead.

Impressive. lets not forget it is a buoy and doesn't count as a gust for Ireland

50ft tree just picked up and tossed over in the IDA industrial estate on Browns Road, Waterford. Not obstructing roads etc though. Stay safe.

Lost power here in Kerry at 12.15 and this is the first time to lose power in over 10 years to a storm. It is the worst storm I seen here since the St. Stephens Day storm of 1997 and there today trumps that storm last month which was bad too. On the iPhone with 3G, I discovered my power pack was flattened when I connected the inverter to run the laptop and modem

Remember that night myself living in Ballymun at the time I had to abandon a taxi that got stuck right outside the met building in Glasnevin and walk home through two foot of water, fun times.
