    I liked the first season but the first two episodes of S2 have been incredible!! I wish the first season had been this strong and people would have taken to it far better.

    Production quality of that one was high again. Like the directing and scene selection and how it was all put together. There was points where it wasn't as high but they weren't too noticeable.

    I think the performance of Ruth Negga and separately the setup scenes for
    Hell
    stand out.

    Audience numbers are nose diving though..

    I would say 2 thirds of the first 3 episodes of season 2 have a different more grittier (yeah that word) feel that season 1.

    I thought it's pacing was all over the place. It was going somewhere... then it wasn't.. then it was... so on. There were large chunks of it that weren't very interesting.

    I thought Season 1 was excellent. Personally never had any issues with the pacing. But damn, Season 2 is blowing it out of the water.

    Its insanely good, if they keep this quality up for a couple more seasons this will be one of the all time great shows, cant believe they did justice to the comic like this.

    Man it's so good this season. First season was a total struggle. Paying off now. So much going on in this episode. Love it!!

    Very hard to get people to watch it. It's like The Leftovers all over again, lol.

    I think all of us (the converted :D) are pretty happy with Season 2 of preacher. But, the ratings have fallen off a cliff. S3 must be in doubt. :(

    According to the wiki link the anniversary of the first renewal has passed. Not a great sign.

    The made the point on the AV club review that the joke was how obvious it was what would happen.

    Really enjoying this season. Season 1 had its flaws, it's a better show when it concentrates on the three leads.
