Really very late to the party on the show. Watched the first 4 episodes overthe weekend and am defo going to stick with it...

I think I may be done. The latest episode is sitting there waiting to be watched and I can't bring myself to watch it

I thought the latest one was dull.

It was more slowly paced, but I enjoyed it. In particular, I'm liking the Eugene subplot. I think
Hitler might be making a play to come back to Earth
I'm resigned to it being the last series as no sign of renewal.

I think where Preacher falls flat is when it focused on people outside of the main three cast. Eugene just isn't interesting enough.

Even the Preacher isn't interesting enough. Cassidy and Tulip road trip is where it's at.

Personally my least favorite bits are the bits between Tulip and Jesse. I'm bored of that sort of 'troubled relationship' dynamic in TV shows at this stage, it's never interesting.

I'd agree. I think they've failed to produce any actual chemistry. Even Eugene in hell is more interesting and I don't think that's great. Cassidy and Denis, I like.

The show got such a shot in the arm with the huge chunk of Herr Starr scenes which were fantastic, but then instantly headed into another slowdown.

Scrappy aul show, but this season is better at least.

Agree with you here, i love the personal visions of hell, but can't figure out what a Viennese coffee shop would be top of his personal hell. Maybe it was his happiest time, therefore hell to relive it?

Going by the character he is in Preacher, he possibly rues how differently his life could have gone. If only he was able to draw/paint people :pac:

I would imagine he set up a meeting with the Jewish art dealer in the corner, who subsequently went on to reject his work... And the rest is history

This despite them being a couple in real life.

You think that's bad, look back at the scene where Jessie is smooching the young wan in Eugene's hell. He looked well awkward :D Ruth must have been just standing off camera ! :pac:

Yes, it's just getting going, but likely coming to an end.

There has been 2 or 3 bad episodes this season but I hope they get a 3rd season after this season. 5 episodes left I think?

What's the ratings like? Prob in the toilet as I don't hear anyone talking about it outside boards tbh.

I assume the poster is referring to the show's ratings.

I've not watched the leftovers but wow, it took a clobbering in its second season:

had a bit of a comeback in the third

It's unreal. Justin Theroux is excellent.

Lol yeah that's what I meant. The Leftovers was this generations Twin Peaks, but no body watched it.

    Amazing show.

Right, watching the current episode now and frankly, think I'll pull the plug.

Went a bit backwards alright, back to the
    Saint of Killers

Just seems to be going in circular motions
