the second series was much better, funny to see the fbi crumble so easily

really good to see a guest appearance from Lance Reddick too, he had such a great presence on screen

    Great second season.

Apparently the story arc will take it to 5 seasons!

Season 3 begins production in January.

    Great cop series

It's good but it's routine as these go

    I'm not seeing any originality

Yes the last episodes seemed to be showing an increasingly reckless side to her.

Have to say this is getting really good now by episode 6 a lot going on

That guided tour of the pharmaceutical company doesn't happen in real life, his story and credentials would have been double checked

10 episode spin off ordered based on Renee Ballard from the books.

The character hasn't appeared onscreen yet.

Untitled J. Edgar project also remains in development.

story with the daughter is so stupid, playing detective is what got her trouble and she right back at it

I saw the first season . Had it downloaded just love Bosch.

Have to say I was disappointed with titus as Bosch. Have listened to all the books many times and would never picture Bosch like the actor.

He's very good reading the later audiobooks though😊

Did love seeing all the real places in LA.

I think I'll stick with the books and not move on to any other episodes.

Maybe he read her file. He's too long in the game I think to trust anyone, so he would always have a way out, like the autodelete thing he had set up,

Titus Welliver is quite physically imposing, in the books Bosch was a tunnel rat in Vietnam and, traditionally, the US army chose men with a smaller frame for this type of work due to the incredibly tight confines of the VC tunnels. With that in mind I always pictured him as someone short and with a slight build.

I know the series has retconned his military career to Iraq and Afghanistan but I get what you mean about the man not quite matching the perception the books created.

That said, he's a great actor imo :)

I've been rewatching Sons of Anarchy lately and his acting is far from great in that. Or maybe it's just that his Irish accent is so bad that it overshadowed any pieces of good acting there was. Not that the show is short of bad acting besides him anyway.

Maggie Q to star as Renee Ballard in the spin off

The untitled series follows Detective Renée Ballard (Q), who is tasked with running the LAPD’s new cold-case unit — a poorly funded, all-volunteer unit with the largest case load in the city. Ballard approaches these frozen-in-time cases with empathy and determination. When she uncovers a larger conspiracy during her investigations, she’ll lean on the assistance of her retired ally, Harry Bosch (Welliver), to navigate the dangers that threaten both her unit and her life.......

Came back with the first 4 episodes this week and looks like 2 a week for the remaining episodes.

While I thought they were good, I thought the investigation against Bosch wrapped up pretty quickly, assuming it is done. Even with Borders dead there seemed to be enough reason to keep the investigation open.

Think Maggie Q will be there in the last 1 or 2 episodes to set up her spinoff.

Still can't take "officer Maddie" seriously.

She was ok as a moody teenager but even the actress playing the character doesn't look comfortable in the role either.

You are a khaki coloured bombardier, it's Hiroshima that you're nearing.

I see Orla Brady listed as a guest star, this time actually playing a character from Dublin for a change.

The theme tune to bosch legacy is an absolute abomination compared to the original

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30,401 ✭✭✭✭CastorTroy

When it showed Jimmy after the bar and going for food I was expecting that to happen.

Like the season so far. Maddie is still the weak part of it. Was it really a good idea to put the only 2 cops who have spent time with the suspect in what they described as a small park where they could be noticed? Especially since we saw how smart she usually is with being careful. At least Vasquez was a bit covered but Maddie was just in civilian clothes. Not even a cap.

Bosch is formulaic and the dialogue can be generic thriller speak, but it is a cut above because of the plotting, the great cast and especially the locations (LA hasn't looked this good since Heat). Best looking show on TV by far and it's pretty engrossing this year given that it is the last season which means anyone can die. Maddie is still a weak link though. The least convincing police officer ever.

I just finished episode 5 and I am really enjoying this series of Legacy.

I think the actress who plays Maddie has gotten a lot better, that's a big improvement!

The original Bosch series is right up there with the best I've seen, when i finished it I started reading the books as I needed more Bosch in my life!

isn’t there a legacy thread ? I keep thinking Bosch is back 🤣

those 'next on bosch legacy's are unnecessarily spoilerific…..

Yeah, I really don't appreciate these at all.

Scrambling for the remote to play next episode!

I know he'll be showing up in Ballard, but this didn't feel like a series finale.

And from one backdoor pilot to another, Titus will be in this Sunday's Equalizer to set up his new show. Though it hasn't been picked up yet and The Equalizer apparently isn't doing great numbers so it mightn't get pickeed up.
