    VOTING CLOSED!

I think that's rather short for a survey like this, I'm not online much over the weekends. Can we not leave it open for a week?

Yeah. I mean. ALL-TIME suggests a thorough and complete analysis. Your work should really be cut out for you OP :P

For a list thread, this one has been great. Loads of games here I need to look at. Agree that it should be kept open.

In fairness... there has been over 100 Votes. It's going to take the person calculating a bit of time to sort it out.

I know, as I did a similar thing before on the Lost forum and there were only about 30 votes :P

It was good though and I'm looking forward to these results.

I doubt we'll get much more interest, the weekend is long enough. It's going to be a very populist vote anyway, all public votes are but looking forward to seeing what surprises there are.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,126 ✭✭✭Reekwind

I'd say that the groutch is running this exercise so let's leave it to him/her as to when it closes. I don't envy anyone having to sort nine pages of votes though - a great turnout from the forum

the groutch add your top ten so shenmue can shoot up the charts :L

  • Registered Users Posts: 5,732 ✭✭✭Magill

If a call of duty or halo is in the top ten... im deleting my boards account.

Plenty of variety in the lists though which is cool to see. There's always going to be your Zeldas, GTAs etc, and with good reason, because they belong there. You could do a top 10 of each console and still struggle with choices or have to decide what not to include.

First time in years I have seen the game Sunset Riders being mentioned, brings back memories, liking the obscure games that are being mentioned.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,000 ✭✭✭mitosis

I realise voting is closed, yet have an offering. I don't have a top ten, but these have been the games that stole the most time from me

    1 Doom
    2 Civ 2
    3 CM3
    4 Minecraft
    5 Duke Nukem :o
    6 Half Life

    VOTING CLOSED!

FFS, only saw this thread now. I hope somebody had the good sense to mention Thief I and II, probably not, making this yet another invalid list. :pac:

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 16,096 ✭✭✭✭the groutch

didnt keep it open any longer, as i might not have the time to count it otherwise. adding up and sorting 1,000 votes from the 100 users is a big enough task.

Perhaps record the data in a publicly viewable spreadsheet, (that maybe can't be edited, but can be copied). Someone else could then add extra data later (from people who haven't voted), without losing the original data.

    leftmost column = game title
    top row = poster name
right most column = final score per game
matrix in the center recording user scores

You could add new posters/data easily afterwards.

Only seen this thread now :(

    FF7 top 10 please!

  • Registered Users Posts: 247 ✭✭Fawk Nin

Only seeing this now also. I'd find it so hard to come up with a top 10 though so I'm almost grateful.

One thing I find interesting is that you rarely see a Pokemon game in people's top 10. Pokemon Gold/Silver deserves to be up there in my opinion.

He has the same data as you ;)
If you have a quick way and are an excel master then away you go, you can give us the results ahead of time :P

We all know that no matter what people vote the real winner is Dark Souls.

[Troll] Its pretty amazing alright, but not as good as Legend of the Dragoon, pure rpg excellence, as I believe you agree [/Troll]

I feel bad for Seiken Densetsu 3, nobody else mentioned it and it is a true gem and a classic, it has a very good fan translation as well, must have for any role playing fan :)
