The antibiotics are causing me stomach problems, my teeth are killing me, the legs are heavy, the missus isn't talking to me, I've to be up at 6am for a 5 mile training run and the recent lack of sleep is causing me to hallucinate but that aside its all good :)

    TbL

Maybe you should get some excuses just in case ! Knew you should have been paying more attention at home rather than posting here last night

No, Tang didn't bury me last Sunday, well he did just not in an ensepulcher sense :)

I've had busy weeks before, but this week too the biscuit with very long hours including one day that continued right through the night and I didn't see the leaba at all!

Was in London City for the first time in a while and stayed in the Shard hotel near London Bridge, seriously impressive hotel with stunning views but a tad posh for a Connemara Boggers tastes. The jacks was bigger than most hotel rooms I stay in, the toilet had some control panel on the wall that I hadn't a clue how to use and a little notepad and pen on a ledge within touching distance. Wasn't sure what this was for, maybe some people do they're best work while on the porcelain or maybe you could write yourself a note to remind you to wipe your ass!

It was perfectly located for running along the Thames but I was so busy I only managed a couple of miles on the treadmill on Monday and didn't get out at all on Tuesday or Wednesday. Londoners aren't a very friendly lot, I was walking to a meeting, got lost and asked 7 different people for directions, 3 blanked me, 2 muttered "don't knows", 1 asked me for directions and another lad asked me for the loan of a quid!!

Back to Redhill on Thursday and it was dark by the time I got back to the hotel so I hit the treadmill, I found an old pair of earphones in the bag and started listening to some music, clicked on some 70's disco kitsch on YouTube and lost the wifi signal when I got into the gym so I had to listen to this,

    http://youtu.be/9_T3x8qBoic

continuously for 11 miles!! If you're gonna listen to it, fast forward past the Italian tool doing the introduction, roll yourself a fat one and chill :) 11 miles easy.

Back in Dublin on Friday evening and I met Tang near the Moyvalley hotel for a 9 mile progression run. Couldn't find my skittles injected with the rohypnol to offer him, they must have been the ones I ate last Sunday in Bohermeen :) It was pissing rain but I did a quick superman change beside the car, while he covered his eyes but I think he was taking sneaky peeks :). We got going around a smooth tarred lap of just over a mile that was perfect for running. Eased into it and had a great chat along the way, surprisingly he didn't mention Bohermeen that often! We chatted away till about mile 7 when I started to tire a bit but Tang looked strong and it was great to have the company. I definitely wouldn't have finished if I was on my own and mightn't have even started! Tnx again B

    1. 8 something
    2. 7.59
    3. 7.55
    4. 7.37
    5. 7.23
    6. 7.07
    7. 6.50
    8. 6.38
    9. 6.25

Had to drive home in atrocious weather, after Spiddal it was so bad I could have done with an Arc! Unfortunately have to head back to London on Sunday for more of the same for another week at least.

This work crap is starting to interfere with my running :(

+1 with Londoners and directions. Have had two similar situations myself.

Just part of my Terence Trent Darby appreciation evening, here on my own with a packet of skittles listening to his album (the missus is in the pub getting in some practice in for a wedding session tomorrow!)

I'll be swimming again tomorrow as the legs felt great after it!

    TbL

Skittles! Bought a packet of them last week to test them out and they've replaced wine gums in my diet now. They're lovely :)

Have been reading your stress fracture chronicles, good to see it only took 6-7 weeks for you. Was it the 2nd metatarsal by any chance?

    Mmmm skittles!

    Wine gums aren't sweets they're one of my 5 a day :)

Feckin stress fractures wrecked my head, 2nd and 3rd but at least they healed the foot ligaments still need constant work/attention!

Today: had planned on trying to get the LR in but family stuff got in the way. Heading to London again tomorrow so it'll be touch and go whether I get it done.

Got 5 miles easy from Rossaveal to the house done earlier this evening. Remarkably the majority of the badly flooded roads had cleared up by this morning.

I can guarantee you it was the jacks Murph, either that or they expected you to use the sink 0) It even had a heated seat!

A power deodorizer in the jacks - no home (where a male resides) should be without one :p

Skittles and wine gums and green pringles, what was the other thing .... oh yeah, the glasses of milk and the Vitamin D.

You were lucky you healed so quick with both 2nd and 3rd being damaged. I'm about 5 weeks in to the rest but not sure how many more weeks I'll need. I'm like a buddist with the "acceptance" at the moment, not sure how I'll feel when I hit the rehab stage ...

    Great log btw :)
