Ah I don't give that much credence at all. Keyboard skeptics want something to shout about. If it wasn't him winning it would be the margin ineos won it by.

Today will tell a lot his best finish on a HC Cat stage was last year at 14 mins. But I think there's nothing to see here

Everyone that was surprised by JA’s stage win yesterday. Take a look at forums such as bikeradar or the comments posted on cyclingnews.

There's 2 types of people on Cyclingnews comments:
"Sky/Ineos are all drug taking, cheating backstards who are ruining cycling"
    and
"Every else that is not Sky/Ineos are jealous and/or anti-english and are drug taking, cheating backstards who are ruining cycling"

The point remains. Going from no scrutiny to full on scrutiny as soon as he starts winning in their colours.

Sam's Irish champions jersey finally breaks cover. I suspect he'll have different branding on it soon enough but it would be fantastic to see the win in this jersey sooner rather than later.

He's down for , London Classic, Binck Bank and La Vuelta next month so hopefully we'll see a win in it very soon.

Don’t think he’ll be in Spain unless he has resigned

Is there a reason why Nico or Dan aren't included?

In all honesty they probably declined a place.
Wouldn't suit them after a hard TDF as well.

Euro's are 7-11th August and Vuelta doesn't start until 24th August.

They are both listed to do San Sebastian next week at the moment according to procyclingstats.

Just finished second in the ride London Surrey Race today, just behind viviani

I thought he was gone in the crash with the rest of the lads I'm so used to him in a black jersey, so not too bad a result just didn't have the road left then to get a wind up when he went from behind Viviani

Just noticed the commentator say it was the first world tour road race win by a rider in the Irish NC jersey. (I think Ryan Mullen won in the TT jersey)Just trying to think of any other professional wins in the jersey, would David O Loughlin have won a stage of the RAS in the jersey?

She was direct in asking him about a move to DQS and all he said was news to come. I assume that won't be confirmed until after la Vuelta.

Another good win for him there, no team in the last 2km and had to fight it out on his own.

    Here's the finish

The team worked hard to keep him near the front up to that. He was on his own at the end but had strength to spare as a result of their work.

Ara that's a given and nothing but their basic job. A good job would be having one or two of them up there towards the end. Jumbo did similar positional work for Groenewegen and still had two men there to lead him out.

    And he only managed 7th

Any chance he stays at Bora?

Reading odds and ends online Sagan may miss the tour next year so if Sam got the Tour he may stay possibly.

I could be way off the mark as well.
