    Likewise yours!

I lost my money on Jack Conan tonight - probably put the hex on him.

    Ive done 4 handicaps,
Toulon +7 (need a LBP, taking advantage of the handicap marker being a real target for the away team)
Munster -24 (I think they will hose them, and every try counts as they push for a 1 or 2 seed, they are also far fitter than R92)
Clermont -17 (Same as really, bar the fitness element, just too good at home and every point counts)
Glasgow -2 (Toyed with taking the money line on this but its giving a way 20% return for a 2 point gap. This means everything to them, and whilst leicester will turn up for the home fans, they're sheep in a heap at the moment and i can see glasgow winning moderately well after a tight game (i.e. 7-10 points).
20 quad on the 4 pays 265 back

Bizarrely Northampton with the handicap was the bet of the weekend so far.

I'm interested by the Wasps handicap but I'll wait to see the margin they need for X before backing it.

I've taken Connacht +13. I think they are good value for an LBP.

Lots of handicaps ripped up this weekend so far.
Lots of accumulators wrecked too with the two Irish results so far.

In order to try to save some face I've gone on zebo for 2 or more tries.

montpellier gone from -18 to -23 after teams named

leinster steady at -12 but ive a feeling still might go further out.

so far then for the weekend
    scarlets (scr) @ 10/11
    leinster - 12 @ 10/11

and a double on scarlets and glasgow -4

and something small on sale scarlets draw @ 22/1

    Wiped out

Wipe-out weekend too. Jack Conan yesterday and Charles Piutau today - picking try scorers can be a mug's game on a bad day.

Had a quiet few quid on Racing +27, mental handicap to give a team of that calibre. Also had that in an accumulator but unfortunately Leinster ****ed that on day 1 :P

Ospreys -4@10/11 is tempting v Bristol

I'd be careful of that one. It's the Anglo-Welsh cup so it'll be Ospreys u14s B team but Bristol with their gargantuan squad may actually be fielding adult rugby players.

Grenoble at home I'd leave out.Id actually take Stade Francais +7 in that game.

+7 maybe, but Stade Francais haven't won an away game this season.

What about Castres and Montpellier? I'm no expert on betting, but would Montpellier not be pretty strong.I could do with a good rugby accumulator myself.

Not sure to be honest. They're not far off each other so I'd probably go with Castres because they're at home and that makes a huge difference with French teams.

French internationals withheld for this round.

My biggest worry is racing away to Lyon.
Lyon still pretty full strength but racing have as decent side named.

Could be gone after the first game!
Toulon need to get the finger out

Top 14 betting is a mugs game - and I should know. At least I have learnt and give it a wide berth these days. :D

    Jaysus, Toulon are rubbish

Leicester Tigers are going well against Northampton.

Exeter Chiefs destroyed Wasps 52-5 in Anglo Welsh Cup,obviously the wasps team selected were useless.

Nel is out for Scotland for the 6N, I'm taking Ireland -7 before it moves out further

Sexton out now. Best spread is with PP at the mo where they have Ireland -5. (-6 most other places)

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 45,433 ✭✭✭✭thomond2006

I like the look of Munster +4. Yes they'll be missing a lot of key players but Edinburgh aren't great.

I'm not wildly keen of any of the international matches. I'll probably wait for Week 2.

Would anyone be tempted by 16/1 on France for the 'cuillère en bois'?:P
