The grass above ground dies off to prevent the grass root from dying,

Really shouldn't have listened to Matt cooper on they way home

On average it is 25 or less. If somebody can not tolerate this they must have some medical condition. Given the typical irish person likes 2 weeks in spain i find this hard to believe. Does a typical size 8 prefer sleet and rain and a max of 2 degrees. I dont think so.
Normal service will be resumned in a week.

What are you talking about?

I'd imagine very overweight people find it tough. But that doesn't mean skinny people don't hate it either.

I'm a chubster and I frickin love it. LOVE IT.

No you're not! And I think this weather is the biz - but let people whinge if they don't like it!

I'm carrying some extra timber but I can handle it no problem.

It can be hard to deal with it if you haven't had a good nights sleep though.

    No you're not!

    This by the way.

Just back home from work. Out on the balcony in a t-shirt, having a beer. A beautiful sky with a big ol' moon, and still warm. I am loving this weather.

I watered the grass out the front tonight because I noticed it was going yellow, I've never had to do that before.

The *only* bad thing I've found about this weather is my work dress, it's a touch too warm - however, I'm not complaining, just stating a fact :D

When you say watering grass... :p

Even the waters too warm to drink out the tap, its all humid. I have to put it in the fridge and wait for it to cool down. And this ****ing sun is burning as well, and the heat is making me sweat, which means I have to take 2 showers a day. **** you sun

I have heard people comparing this summer to 1995, which was 18 years ago.

Is this it until 2031 ?

  • Registered Users Posts: 659 ✭✭✭Katunga

had to start using a mouse on my laptop because my hands are too sweaty to work the touch pad :(.

Buses are terrible in this heat as well. Specially with the spanish students ****ing everywhere.

  • Registered Users Posts: 717 ✭✭✭Porkpie

The only reason I don't like the heat is that I sweat bucket loads (heavy sweater by nature :(). And I can't get a decent night's sleep. Anything above 20c is too hot for me.

    2006 was like this too.

I was like this until I start self medicating. A shot of whiskey 1-2 hours before I go to bed is enough to knock this lightweight out.

Irish houses were built to keep the heat inside and not keep it outside, which is a major factor people forget about. I have friends from Turkey, Brazil, Argentina and Portugal who are suffering at the moment due to lack of sleep.

If you don't let the light in your house will stay fairly cool. My room has been in total darkness for about 3 weeks and its nice and cool at night.

My apartment is like a greenhouse by now, even though I've been keeping the blinds closed. It kept the place cool for a while, but alas, it doesn't work now; heat is retained.

It's the f'ucking business for drying clothes though! :pac:
