He had another story on his podcast about when he was trying to sign Gail Kim. His pitch to Vince was that guys were into Asian women, there is even Asian porn sites which Vince apparently didn't know was a thing and was shocked by.

    Feel the same about jr

It’s why I really hope he’s not involved with aew as rumoured

Moved the JR stuff here, not exactly news

That said if you look hard enough you will find dodgy stuff about anyone on the internet these days especially someone who has spent so many decades in the dodgy as hell (more so in the past) industry that is PW especially in terms of attitudes towards women with how they were treated back in the day whether you are talking in terms of as wrestlers (the stories of Moolah and the like exploiting them or Divas being hired solely on their looks) or fans (just the term ring rat speaks volumes).

Also didn't want to take the AEW thread off topic but This thread was referenced in it.

It's the Billy Gunn / Pinky thread from several years ago where his mistress was posting on boards about it before the story broke in the dirtsheets. unlike many others I was around then but it still made me laugh when I checked it out again (it like the Conor hurley challenging one of our posters to a fight stuff is in the hot links thread) and saw her first post was a response to a post of mine.

apparently she was also was somewhat involved in an incident with Batista after that too, when she claimed her kids were trampled by a local DJ that did a worked altercation at a WWE house with Big Dave which spilled into the crowd.

don't know if anyone follows corey graves on twitter but he's taken a lot of stick/abuse overnight for some tweets yesterday. im not sure what a twitter "meltdown" is but that's what a lot of folks are calling it. I find him very grating these days, tries way too hard to be funny and edgy and there is absolutely no need for him to appear on both shows

I thought he was great until shortly after the point he started appearing on both shows. Another case of the WWE finding out people like something then shoving it down our throats or perhaps just the announcers curse where Vince in your ear slowly changes you. People loved JBL too when he first started then he became an overbearing annoyance.

Graves shouting at Renee especially when it has no relevance to whats going on in the ring is one of the things I dislike the most about the current product, it just makes it so much harder to get into and like what's actually happening.

Someone nailed it when they asked him if his tattooist ever has trouble working on someone with such thin skin.

Guy comes across as an absolute cóck.

Was wondering why one of the very few wrestling accounts I follow (MrLariato) retweeted this.

+1 re Graves. Baffled by the stuff he's coming out with. Really seems to have allowed success go to his head.

  • Registered Users Posts: 573 ✭✭✭nazmoalex

Graves was fun when he started on the main roster, was just saying that a week or so ago. Didn't Becky have a pop at him calling him Heenan Lite. He said something along the lines of not being allowed to go full Heenan.

Lots of reasons for him to be frustrated, not being able to wrestle probably being the main one.

His work of late has been annoying. Talking about Mandy Rose the other week for far too long, put me off whatever match was on.

Dude needs a holiday I'd say.

Was watching something MMA related earlier and this made me laugh from Ariel Helwani

"I actually applied to be a writer for TNA wresting back in the day and Jeff Jarrett told me I didn't have the credentials to do it."

Former WWF champion Pedro morales has died at the age of 76. He was the first triple crown champion in company history and is the fifth longest reigning by number of days as champion. He is the longest reigning IC champ by number of days twenty days ahead of the miz. RIP.

I saw Finn and Becky doing a bit of a backstage segment on RAW this week...

God be with the days that I thought Lance Storm was wooden :pac:

That was a pretty cringeworthy scene. Balor telling Becky to "wait and bide your time". She's just been suspended and told she wouldn't be in the main event of Wrestlemania. The last thing I would want to be told is to wait.

Was terrible mainly because they just wouldn't let Finn be the mentor and friend in that segment. Instead they had him cringingly draw comparisons to his own struggles with Lashley.

I can forgive Finn being limited when talking; what I can't forgive is them sending him out to act like a selfish **** who makes things about himself.

Young lad is starting to get into the wrestling so I put on the network for him today, he decided to watch WM 27...

Surely a candidate for worst ever, only highlights are The Rock hosting and... um.... that's it?

Poor main event, awful celeb involvement (Snooki FFS!)

Even the part timer match, whilst passable was nothing special.

Main event ended in a double count-out into a Rock promo... rest of the card wasn't great.

    Punk VS Orton
Trish, Snooki and JoMo VS Laycool and Ziggler
Edge's last match VS Del Rio opened the show

I don't think I could accurately guess one Wrestlemania card after 25...?
Yet I could tell you Head Cheese vs T&A happened at Wrestlemania 16.
I saw Bray Wyatt win the WWE Title 2 years ago on Sky's Chamber preview & I had even forgotten when he lost it and who he lost to.

Both Becky and Finn are pure cringe. Especially Becky. Her weird attempts at disguising her accent and sound more understandable to the American audience are watch through your fingers bad.

    "This is my opporduniddy!"

    Oh my.

It was 'Days of Our Lives' acting, and writing. I wouldn't be surprised if they were reading their lines off of cue cards.

There's a segment from 2003 where Stone Cold is the GM and he's being an arsehole to Lance Storm by coming out onto the stage during Storm's match and shouting 'BOORRRRINGG!!' over and over again, before getting a blanket and pillow out, and going to sleep, while commenting to the audience how a Lance Storm match is the perfect cure for insomnia.

If Stone Cold could come on RAW these days and shout 'BORRRRRINNGG!!' over the 3 hours of 'action', I'd be more inclined to watch. But that's me.

wrestle mania 9 is by far the most insulting stuff put on tape and called wrestle mania.

Ciampa maybe if you're incorporating NXT?

As for the main roster, hard to say. Daniel Bryan would be up there. There aren't many stand outs these days.

Samoa Joe. Not without his faults but better than most. That's all I got!

    I think the early ones - 1 & 2 in particular, 4 & 5 as well - are worse.

Well I give the first one a pass as it was a new concept. I can see what they were trying to do to make 2 bigger than the first but it didn't work even though the three venues was nice to see. I know Crockett did starrcade from two venues so it wasn't unique but the event didn't work. Mania 4 just went on forever which doesn't help and I remember renting it out on video and it was two vhs tapes. The last match was good because it had two workers in it. The Trump plaza was a bad venue though. Mania V had the first real WM main event that set the template for mania main events going forward.
