Has anyone ever taken theirs to BMW for the free health check?

I can imagine the outcome of their inspection already.

So can I. I'm very interested in what they can find wrong. I'm being pedantic changing the drop links as it is

What about taking R32 badges off an R32? And maybe putting it on steelies or something?

Will that give it less horsepower?

Not rubbish at all. Sure doesn't everyone know that a 1.9 TDI is faster than a Bugatti Veyron, so a 1.9 TDI would clearly destroy an R32? If anything, it's underselling the car's potential putting that badge on a TDI Golf :pac:!

these tiddley dee aye TDI 'jokes' are doing my head in. need to go the way of the SH spoiler jokes, cians' being whipped by his gf and octavia boot size.

My car is driving me mad at the moment.

The noise in the steering column is driving me mad but even worse the clutch has started slipping again:mad:. I never replaced it last time as it just stopped slipping:confused:. It's very strange, I drove up the same hill twice today in the same gear at the same speed and throttle opening (to the floor:pac:). Once it slipped and then the second time it didn't. Just me in the car both times. I think it might be binding somewhere stopping it from engaging fully...Or could there be a hydraulic problem?
It's also filthy because it hasn't been washed since the Glendalough meet, all the coke cans are still flying around in the boot:rolleyes:

Jaysus, when you need a clamper they won't do their job... some fcker parked in my space and the security company said well "we'd only look if we're in the area and decide to pop in like".

I've just had a great day of classic cars. I've been in a Pug 505 GTI, a Renault 9 (like new and never restored), and a Pug 104.

Also got a look around two Citroen Visa GTI's.

Driving down the R402 on Friday, coming towards Edenderry, where the old road's all been torn up and dotted with about 6 sets of one-way alternating traffic light things.

I come to the end of one and see the little white arrow in the blue circle point back to my side of the road, so I judiciously swing back to the proper side of the road. Only to be met by a temporary barrier I'd thought was on the side or something.

I'm sure the **** in the car behind was wondering what was going on. Black Megane swerving around this one cone with a sign on it, apparently just for the sake of it, before swerving back out around the barrier, then back onto the road proper.

At Lidl in Coolock my wife was pushed and a fúckwade on a bike tried to rob her phone, it happened fast, I ran after him for a bit then got in the car, if I had of caught up with him he would be run over now...god honest truth. I am sure I could still get him he headed towards Darndale. I will head to the police now.

Sucks Chris, wouldn't mind but she isn't the biggest lady so i think they just picked out an easy target.

Not many opportunist thieves try and rob me (6'2 17 stone) :p

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,974 ✭✭✭Chris_Heilong

She has a cut on leg, hair pulled but ok other than that, the police said the same guy had robbed someone 20 mins before us at Tesco Clarehall and some place up the Malahide road, all around Darndale so they have it pin pointed to where he might live.

Hope you get a good result, phones can be replaced. Main thing is she is ok (if a little shaken up i would imagine)

If i caught someone doing that to my +1 i would sit in them and keep swinging until they stopped twitching and im very slow to anger.

If I had of realised a few seconds earlier then I might have had the chance. Now that my adrenaline has subsided I am glad I didnt "murder" him with my car but I would have liked to get in a few digs. Anyway we will be even more careful from now on.

I'm currently sitting in George Dalton's getting the boot latch replaced. It helpfully failed while I was over in France with a crap load to get into the boot. Had to pack and unpack the car by lowering the rear seats to get into the boot.

Could have been worse I suppose, could've failed with the boot open.

My car is currently there too! Did you see a 159 with the diesel tank hanging out of it:pac:
