Paddy Power are doing a best price on Patrick Reed at 55/. I took a little bite. That price will look massive if he is in the humour. Outside of the exchanges, which are win only btw, that is the best industry price.

Only people to ever retain are Tiger & Jack at Augusta...but hey, didn't Reed say a couple of years ago that he was best in the world, or something to that effect.

Decent odds for an each way I suppose though

Reed has been terrible of late, his swing was all over the place, he hired Leadbitter as a coach mid tournament 2-3 weeks ago (or should i say his wife did) and is working on changing his swing since not ideal prep for the masters given the more limited practice time he will have as a returning champ

I'd probably back Reed to miss the cut tbh

Ended up going with Fowler and Molinari outright and Leishman, Matsuyama and Woodland e/w

Gone with Rory for the win but had backed him over a month ago at a better price. Really think this year is a huge chance for him.

Backing Fowler, LOuis Oosthuazin and Charley Hoffman e/w.

There's normally a retired Irish golfer on newstalk breakfast who tips someone for the masters each year, can't for the life of me remember his name, and he's tipped a few long odd ones like Danny willett (year he won it at 66/1). Wouldn't mind knowing who he tips this morning! If anyone catches it it'd be great to share it.

Brooks Koepka was the predicted winner on Newstalk

    FRL Spieth @ 25/1
    FRL R C Bello @ 80/1
    FRL K Bradley @ 80/1

    T Finau EW @ 40/1
    B Horschel EW @ 150/1
    S Lowry EW @ 80/1
    K Bradley EW @ 100/1
    K Na EW @ 200/1

I think I have enough covered there, just love the masters. Great memories as a kid watching it at home with the folks on the final day and being allowed to stay up to watch it.

    Good luck to all

Gary Murphy I think it is who does the tipping on Newstalk.

Have gone for Spieth 18/1 as my main bet and a couple of smaller wins on Koepka 22/1 and Finau 33/1. Small each way plays on Reed 55/1, Li 125/1 and Matt Wallace 100/1

New join on one of the sites so bet $10 and get an extra $30 in bonus bets.

So I spread that $40 across:
    rory 13/2
    tiger 14/1
    shane e/w 150/1

Personally i don't think Rory will do anything, i actually think he'll miss the cut.
I backed Jason day , Brooks koepka and eddie pepperell each way, and the king tiger to win.
Good luck all, i love the Masters

    Patrick Cantlay ... 118.18
    Hao Tong Li ... 224.67
    Keith Mitchell ... 401.88
    Aaron Wise ... 700.00

I always back a few. It lacks interest for me if my main pick misses the cut.

  • Registered Users Posts: 16,121 ✭✭✭✭Loafing Oaf

After due deliberation, I have gone with Fowler outright, Snedeker and Hao Tong Li each way, Lowry top GB & I and Olazabal top senior. Hoffman and Cameron Smith narrowly failed to make my cut. Should be a great tournament regardless:D

    so..my bets

    Fowler..14/1
    Oosthuizen..35/1
    Xander Schauffle..33/1
    Matsuyama..25/1

    Longish

    Hoffmann 100/1
    Sergio..40/1
    Finau...35/1

The narrower a man’s mind, the broader his statements.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2,111 ✭✭✭finglashoop

    Hao tong li
    Snedeker
    Both each way

what do the numbers mean? is that like 12/1, 70/1?

Myself and the wife have about 15 people backed between us. One of us is bound to win!

Likely decimal, and maybe likely on BetfairEx?

If like me, you're fond of 10,000/1 mixed, multi-line, e/w accas- then fractions just don't cut it.

One of the tips sites was saying the South Africans are usually a good bet at Augusta, but Oosthiuzen seemed to be the main focus this time...
