the new Texaco garage/Gala shop in Oakpark is looking well outside. They have spruced up the appearance and put in some vintage signs & old wheels. Nice touch!

I was passing through Blennerville at the weekend & noticed there was a building demolished there, just up near the school but up the road on the way to the football pitch? what was demolished there?

The polish guy opposite Darcys restaurant in Barrack lane is brilliant. He did my screen while I waited and its as good as new.

How much is it for iPhone5S screen replacement ???

anyone know why there are barriers in Slatt's carpark, they are there since last night, so I thought maybe they were going to be doing some sort of road works there, but nothing seems to be happening. My other thought was that maybe they are closing off the carpark at night as there have been a few instances of camper vans parking up for a few days at a time & they are trying to stop it?

No idea, it was for an xperia Z. Cost me 80 euros. I'd say your looking at close enough to 150 for the 5s

does anyone know where I could get a light fitting for above a bathroom mirror? Ours is broken & we need to replace it. Its a strip light fitting, so something similar. I've tried Woodies, they don't do them. Can't see them on Argos website or Tubs n'Tiles, so don't really know where else might have them. Maybe Kellihers Hardware, which I'll try tomorrow. Anywhere else?

Give a call into tubs and tiles. Their website is lacking but thru may have something in the back. They often keep spares etc

Try some of the electircal wholesalers, either Kellihers electrical, South West or EDL in the Monavalley Industrial estate should be able to help you.

I was thinking of South west wholesale too, we have a trade account with them anyway, so I can call in there & see if they have anything. Didn't know about EDL. Thanks for the advice!

More likely because they would have been jumped by the Dominicans across the road and told repent their sinful ways

Had a walk thru town, seems to be the same old-same old.
I did have a laugh at the sight of one of the town's residents who would be overly familiar with our court system collecting for the homeless outside the aib bank

I also had a laugh to myself too! I thought I was seeing things, and another one across the road who would also be quite familiar to the court!! wonders will never cease! ;)

I didn't think it felt that busy around today, not in comparison to last year. It is still only Friday though and I'm sure it will be a lot busier tomorrow. Weather is holding up well too, so fingers crossed its like this all weekend! Anyone off to see Union J tonight....cant' say I know any of their songs, so won't be going! Was hoping to see Walking on Cars on Sunday night, but probably won't be now, looks like I'll be working :(

It was quiet in town this evening, outside of the Union J concert there wasn't much on while I was in town, numbers seemed poor enough, perhaps there was a good crowd at the concert though.

I just saw photos of that Union J concert and it looked like a very small crowd! Maybe it was early on, but they had pics of them on stage & the crowd looked small!

Very small. They were only about 8 or 9 deep in front of the stage, I'd be surprised if there was more than 100 people at it. Music in the square was alright but it took ages between sets for the bands to set up

If that's the case it would be a poor start for the festival, there's a program on channel 4 Sunday morning called Sunday Brunch, UnionJ are scheduled to appear, might be interesting to hear what they have to say about the gig.

Guess the crowd were really only arriving in town last night. Patrons may well have been split between Rose Ball and Union J.

Showing my age here , never heard of this group Union J until last night. I guess the younger folk on this thread are more familiar.

    Wishing everyone a wonderful festival.:)

Union J were on the Xfactor a few years ago, they didn't win, nor are they by any means a huge band. They are popular with the young teens, so I doubt they were split between the ball & their gig! lol
Hopefully there's more of a crowd in town today & tomorrow.

Some of you may already know, but just in case, Kennedy's Pet Farm was broken into yesterday. Amongst the animals stolen were a golden retriever, a Chihuahua, a golden pheasant, a silver pheasant, 3 pugs & some pups about 3 weeks old who won't survive without their mother, anybody spots something unusual being offered for sale you know from whence it came
