He's probably in the Yellow Pages OP, he'll give you a hand

He might if he'd check his emails or answer his phone:mad:

He obviously doesn't realise the urgency of the situation:pac:

Does anyone remember the thread about the guy in the garage and the girlfriend/date?

How do you know your not in the safe already, but it's actually the door to the outside world ?

Because Morpheus would know to use "you're".

Anything short of finding Pandora's Box or Anglo shares (which is probably the same thing) will be a disappointment. It's like that 100 year old Norwegian package - total let down.

OP have you asked the lads in the TOG forum? They run lock picking classes, might be worth a try.

You take me as someone who would go all in, in Poker,
    Without looking at your cards...

    Wrong there, mate.

    Fair deal is fair

I remember the student and teacher one.

I remember the one where someone didn't open a safe quick enough and they were later found floating face down in the liffey.

    Just sayin'

Damn - haven't been online in a couple of days and was hoping by the time I caught up on the end of this thread it would have been opened.

What if the OP actually did get it open, but he had help, and they got greedy, and caved his skull in with a crowbar?

    **** MacGyver, someone call Horatio!

Tough reading through all these suggestions, can someone post an update here on current status of opening safe?

Last status was man in a back garden looking downwards and scratching head.

You need to lodge €100 €200 into my back account. I'll PM you the details.

Yea realised that was there like 3 seconds after I posted it

Safe is unopened...The locksmith costs too much so he's spend to morrow chiselling away at the concrete to try and drill in.

    ok bad news is...

If you all recall the picture of the safe in it's unburied state then you will see that the door is a smaller part of the over all top surface of the safe. Well the door consists of four sheets of metal that combined are over a inch thick, so i am never going to drill through that with my electric drill. So the plan was to chrisel down through the concrete to the rest of the roof surface, and drill through that instead.

So i chiseled away but i chiseled at the wrong side and ended up with nothing to drill through, so it was a waste of time. Sorry guys. I don't have time now to go chisel the other side.

I will however ring the locksmith and get back to you.

Look guys if a safe, it's made not to be broken into. I don't have the money to pay for a locksmith and I don't have the time to spend the day chiselling away. Best I can do is a bit more chiselling in the morning and hopefully drill a hole into the safe to get a look. So please be patient.

And please remember I full expect this safe to be empty.

I live in Meath, I might consider a trust worthy member to give me a hand!

I'll take a punt... I'll offer you the full cost of the locksmith for HALF the contents plus first pick of any booty. If there's nothing I go home empty handed.

In all seriousness, you should contact one of the radio stations (Darcy or Foley probably), give them the backstory & then do a live on air opening. They'll pay for the locksmith.
