Yeap.... Time to hit the hay after watching the latest batch of clouds roll overhead without so much as a flake...

Hopefully the below will work some magic overnight

Theres been some heavy stuff recently in Sligo. Was just about to go to bed after the dusting that had fell, had melted. Thought I'll take another look out the window, white lines on the road were tricky to make out, ventured down stairs to check out the drive, car has a nice thick covering on the bonnet, roof, and half way up the windows.

The thought of not having to get up to slightly later in the morning, is keeping me up just to see what might happen next.

    :D

Mmmm. Covering on car and drive is melting, the BBC map now has snow fall for Sligo Town 3 hourly until 6am, met office still has weather warnings in place for NI and its boarders, and the weather app now has no snow fall for Sligo till 6am.

Thats it, I'm definatly going to bed this time.

Nothing here in Westport except for heavy winds although they've died down over the last 15 minutes.

Started to snow lightly here (west Roscommon) again after a short shower of rain/sleet had began melting the small covering on the roads.

Actually, it's sounding rainy against the window again. Not holding out much hope for a whiteout tbh, seems to be regressing since about midnight.
