Temps have risen a tad here now, I expect most if not all of this covering to be gone in the morning :(

P.S you see if this was coming from the east we wouldnt have to worry about it melting!!!!!!! :P Westerly Snow pffttt! :D

Funny thing is, when Gerry Murphy on RTE TV yesterday forecast that this would happen, he was totally slated on this forum by certain posters.

    New Moon

GFS precip charts look very good for north cork/limerick/tipp/carlow between 6am and 9am....wicklow uplands due for another hammering too

Everything is indeed weakening rapidly as it hits the East now, from around kildare Eastwards. Nothing but flurries the order of the night for me anyway unless showers magically regenerate overhead!

Goodnight folks, would love to be in midlands and some west/southwest areas, should do best out of tonight!

Just looked out of the windown here in Ashbourne, and there's a very slight covering of snow on the patio table, but that's about it for the moment, the patio slabs and grass are still clear.

As to what's heading this way, hard to tell, the "snow radar" looks interesting, but what's actually happening seems to be different.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

Another light flurry but heaviest iv had, will probably be the best for the night as showers are beginning to lose intensity as they move east (as John has said in above post)

Tiny flakage in D3, tried to photograph but not big enough for camera phone to pick them out. Not worth staying up for so night folks.

Snowing here in Tramore, Co.Waterford, its heavy but doesn't appear to be sticking right now.

The ground is wet because of sleet earlier and the temperature is 3 degrees Celsius so I doubt we will see sticking soon unless the snow get's heavier.
