    @KH,

Really like that watch, ticks lots of boxes for me.

    Is it very big?

    Hi TBL,

It's certainly one of my favourites. The face is busy sure but in a good way. It comes in at 41mm, 12.5mm thick but isn't overly large looking on the wrist. It is heavy however at 172g.

Here's my Steinhart Ocean Vintage on another NATO. It looks best on its original SS bracelet, but I'm trying to vary things a little by buying new straps instead of watches!

Feelin' retro.. (..or '****head hipster watch day')

I had one as a kid, purchased by my Dad in a London Tube Station, down by the Penta Hotel.. :P

Not the original straps, sadly, digging into me.. oh well.

Nice :) I was wearing a Casio not too different to that this very day.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

New accurist arrived today, nothing fancy but I wanted something a bit lighter than my seiko for day to day wear :)

Happy enough with it for just under €80

That Casio brings back serious memories.

Seeing who could press the stop watch on and off in the fastest time!

No X Box when I was a young fella

My Poljot is back from its trip to the watchmakers. The wayward hour hand has been called back in line and the movement has been firmly fixed into place (cost all of 20 quid) ...and I love it!

btw, this baby has a power reserve of over 55 hours

Today I'm wearing my Casio EQW-M600DC-1AER with a Black Steel Strap. Really like the watch face on this one although the date window at 4 o'clock can be a little strange.

I don't wear this as often as I should; I think it's quite smart.

    Shame on you :p

Love the way at some angles the light catches the blue flamed hands and they look either black or blue

Got into work on Wednesday morning and this was waiting for me. It arrived very swiftly from the US. It's the second watch I've bought from this particular seller on eBay and both have been great so I may buy more. It was about €44 with roughly €8 in shipping.

It's not fancy by any means but unlike my first ever Timex it's quiet! It's comfy to wear and at 42mm large but not too large.

little bit of a departure for me, bought this to cover holidays and general hacking about, super comfy on the combi bracelet and its nice not to be too worried about a watch as i am super anal with the good ones!

Now you're talking Cyrus.. Beauties... To me, the IWC is the epitome of what a watch should look like, pure and utter class.

    It shall be mine.

How much wrist time does the Portugeuse get?

Seen one in a shop window a few months ago in Frankfurt...lovely watch. I'd say it wears very big?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,493 ✭✭✭Homer

The Portuguese is just over 40mm but as there is no bezel and its all face I find it wears bigger than the size would suggest. Certainly feels bigger than any of my other watches of a similar size.

I wear the iwc a little less as I have had it the longest, but always love it when I wear, iit'salso my 'lucky' watch so comes out for interviews and important meetings! Sad I know, doesn't wear massive and the slim profile means it's great with suits.

I wasn't mad about the original strap on my Seamaster as it tapers down to become very narrow (about 14mm), so I got this mesh strap which arrived today.

Bracelets are hard enough to find in a 19mm size, but an eBay seller kindly trimmed 1mm off the lugs on this 20mm strap.

That is exactly what I am lookin for, I have a casio with the ordinary strap and my son took it, but that looks the business. Would you mind letting me know where you got it?
    Thanks...

Luckily it's titanium, so too light to do any damage :D
