I so badly want to play this game but I'm kind of in this awkward spot where I don't want to buy Arma 2 and OA just to play it, when the standalone will come out and I'll have to buy that anyway! Grrr...

You have wasteland to play as well! Standalone is not going to be out for a good while.. 3 - 5 months id say.

Don't need full version of Arma 2. Get the Demo version of Arma 2 but you do need to buy Operation Arrowhead. Once you do you can play Dayz and Wasteland.

It really is, I just think the feel of it is better overall

would love to team up with a few people and head to sector b at night, I was watching videos of it and it looks so intense with the NPC's walking about!

yeah that should be ok, i had a HD 6940 in my laptop and an i7 last year and I could run Dayz nicely, not max settings now but playable.

Mine is deaf_vision on steam and daz0rz on skype. Anyone who wants to play send me an invite. I already play with a few people but the more the merrier.

Server restarted so off I head to the firehouse in the main city (dumb I know) and I hear footsteps going past, wait a second before I head downstairs to where the doors are and someone tried killing me with there makarov, he broke my legs and got a good few shots in to me before I could kill him. I crawl over to the cafe and wait for someone to walk past before asking them for help, some guy walks past and says hell try get me a bloodbag and morphine. He comes back with nothing but then someone else comes in and he has some medical stuff, I heard someone joining his team speak chat room and he was AFK ohh man I was so tempted to kill him now! Reason was because he had killed someone with a makarov 5 minutes previous to that and I didn't want him chancing anything. He patched me up and I patched him up and we all went our seperate ways, met one of the same guys in the police station before I logged off for the day, I hear shotgun shots coming through the window and just thought "the poor fecker"

Who knew there actually was nice people in day z!

Check your recents if your using dayz commander (if you can) I don't want to play for an hour or so gearing up on one server, I don't think it carries over.

I'll be a fresh spawn, I got killed last night after two guys tried to ambush me in a construction site while I was looking for jerry cans! Got one of the ****ers though

Just a reminder, there is a free to use team speak server run by us. Skype is terrible for gaming comms.

I know its a little off topic but has anybody considered or done The Hell And Back 10k Obstacle course? Designed by an Irish military man it looks tough but a lot of fun.
