Darts Betting Thread

I thought it would be a good idea to get a thread going for betting tips on the darts. Most like to have a few bets on the games so it would be good to have them in a thread. Always helpful for a fish like myself to have others bets to copy.

So on the eve of the Worlds, anyone have some outright tips? Any value standing out in the first round games?

Indeed but thought it might handy to have a seperate thread, works well in other forums.

Anyway for me I've taken some of Thornton and Hamilton outright @ 40's and 33's

Lewis to get most 180's tonight @ 9/4

Gurney for most 180's tomorrow afternoon @ 12's

    Newton to win his 1/4 @ 4's

Will have some donk accum on tonights games later too.

Thanks it just sounded very unlikely, I apologise for my skepticism.

How long ago did you get him at that price?

Was the night or 2 before he played in the city west and i spoke to him at an exbo

He just said his whole aim for the year was the worlds.

    Just seemed very convincing.

Hi folks..I had a right good look at the betting stats this week..after realising one of the favourites always let's me down when backing games,I went for an accumalator on each quarter.. great odds with paddy power.. basically backed taylor, van gerwen, barney and merv king to get to the semis..120-1!!!

It's worth having a look at.. you could swap barney and king for someone like whitlock or newton and still get great odds.. Hamilton was my bet to get to final but he's in same group as Taylor..

Max Hopp 5/6 v Ovens. Ovens has had shoulder problems and the 16 year old not showing any nerves.

Pity..What a poor game. Any decent darts would have done it.

    I thought it tied..happy days:D

I think there were only about 15 180s in tonights session so my bet paid out too lol Not 1 session so far has had over 23 180s so I'll be looking at that bet again 2mro

    Done 3 outright winner bets:

    Whitlock @ 12/1
    Wade @20/1
    Part @150/1

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

    Going for this treble tonight

    Mark Jones +2.5 (4/11)
    Andy Hamilton -1.5 (2/7)
    Michael Smith +2.5 (4/7)

Also a fun bet on Dolan for most 180's of the session at 16/1

have my day 4 tips here http://sportsbettingbloggers.wordpress.com/2012/12/17/day-4-betting-tips-pdc-world-darts-championship-live-on-sky-sports/

Wright and Ian White should win tonight, have backed Kim Huybrechts to win out of his quarter at 6/1 and have backed lewis and whitlock to win the tournament outright at 12s and 16/1 before tournament started

Huybrechts beat is extremely poor, seeing as his dad passed away suddenly a few days ago.

Webster is a former world champ, white was hardly setting the world alight on tour in the past few months after a great summer, and arron monk could so easily take out snake bite.

Websters form far far worse than Whites and I think hes suffering from lack of confidence at the mo, Monk good youth player but Wright had good run in players championship before and in good confidence. Didnt know about Huybrechts dad passing away, still think its good bet though as in weak section

Monk to beat Snakebite tonight 11/8

    Anderson. :D

He wasn't a concern....barney hitting 8 180s crippled any chance I had though. I think there was only 10 or 11 legs in the whole game too :(

Would love to have done same bet tonight(was 27 or less at 10/11) but I cleared the funds out of my online account(withdrawl & losing lol) & found out my debit card details were being used(attempted) for fraudulent transactions so had to cancel my card...and done this before making a deposit into my other online account

Young Monk wasn't at the races at all the night :(

done wee trb snakebite, rodriguez & White to win

Over 4.5 sets in Webster/White game is 13/8 on PP. I think thats a great bet as I think it will be close enough game...lets see :)

Money placed, Anderson and Thornton e/w, and for a few euros Painter and Wright e/w, big odds on the latter two, would be a shock if either make any inroads...

All 4 still in there, and more surprisingly all in the top 6 averages so far, not that averages in the first round count for anything...

dont think the winner played tonight anyway weak enough session, caven letting bowles into this so many breaks of throw.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 39,691 ✭✭✭✭KevIRL

King to get most 180s 9/2
Powelay on pp also at 11/4 Beaton, king, Newton and lewis

    2/ Under 24.5 180s 10/11

Does Aidy Lewis have the easiest side of the draw ?Was gonna throw a tenner e/w on him

The pundits are shíte at predicting games. They said Anderson at 9/2 could be a steal, that King would beat Winstanely and all through the tournament they have completely over-estimated the lower-seed in the draws.

This is the biggest tournament in the world. It means everything to them! They sure as hell aren't going to let it slip to some random unseeded lad.

Anyone fancy anything for tonight? bearing that in mind, I'll have a look now

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 243 ✭✭jonnygiles

i fancy priestley to beat baxter at 6/4 and pipe to win his match 3-0 at 2s. my tips are up here http://sportsbettingbloggers.wordpress.com/2012/12/19/day-6-betting-tips-pdc-world-championship-darts-live-on-sky-sports/

Had a great day on the Darts betting Yesterday lads. Dean Winstanley to win 3-2 and Colin Osborne to get more 180s than Ilagan. It took him an age to hit one be got 2 near the end.

My tip for is Over5.5 I80s at 11/10 in the Justin Pipe/ Andy Jenkins game

    Good luck all.:)

May be just a rumour although I have heard certain rumours the VanB is undergoing wrist surgery for chronic fibular tendonitis. Whether this is true or not I am not sure. Was hoping someone could help me out?

Some nice tips Johhny. Might have a cheeky punt on Priestly :)

Haven't really gone for the betting during matches, or on things like most 180s or highest checkout. I'm old school, just stuck a tenner on O'Shea e/w at 14 to 1 in the BDO, that's about as exciting as I'll get!

I personally couldnt pick anything between them so bet them both each way for tournament :D

    Tonight :-

    1/ Under 24.5 180s 5/6

    2/ Lloyd/Young Over 121.5 @ 5/6, Baxter/Priestly Over 123.5 @ 5/6, Pipe/Jenkins Under 5.5 180s @ 5/6

Over 121.5 checkout in Lloyd game is great value I think as Lloyd loves to leave himself on 170...which I really should have done Lloyd for highest checkout of the night aswell...although him & whtlock on same night 1 of them has to hit 170

Well Priestly/Baxter game left bit of sour note for me last night with nether getting a high checkout, although both came close but missed the bull :( Profit for the night anyway

    Tonight :-

    1/ Under 24.5 180s for the session

    2/ Walsh (-1) 180s evens, Kim Huybrechts (-1.5) Sets 10/11 & Stuart Kellett (+1.5) Sets @ 4/7

    Fingers crossed eh lads

At least the 180 bets have been doing well so far(4 right,1 wrong)but so far Ive been beating under for the session...time to change tact & go over next time.

    1/ Over 31.5(180s) 4/5

    2/ Hamilton/Burnett Over (5.5) sets @ 10/11 & Chisnall/Gurney Under (5.5) sets @ 1/2

Very little value in Anderson game that I can see

    2/ Hamilton/Burnett Over (5.5) sets @ 10/11 & Chisnall/Gurney Under (5.5) sets @ 1/2

Very little value in Anderson game that I can see

    Tonight :-
After successful changing to over 180s this afternoon I was planning on doing a fliparoo for tonight....but by mistake have bet overs :( I honestly think my 1st bet is beat and dont think there will be more than 24 180s tonight

    1/ Over (27.5) 180s @ 4/5

    2/ Jerry Hendriks (+3.5)sets @ 5/6, Thornton Over (123.5) Checkout @ 5/6, Terry Jenkins (-1.5) sets @ 11/10
