Good Morning! I think this is the coldest I've been in a long time. It looks like I'm gonna get my icy days (maybe even s.n.o.w) before the winter is out. \o/

We went to see that new Tom Cruise movie, Jack Reacher last night. It was himselfs turn to choose. From now on, he doesn't get a turn. EVER. It was a pile of poo. Corny, totally unbelievable and that man cannot act. He's the cheesiest actor ever. Even the camera work was corny. Jack delivers a corny line, camera zooms into this face, Jack squints his eyes a bit, just to look extra hard. :rolleyes:

I couldn't help but think of him as Jack Reacharound. So every time someone called his name I went into a fit of giggles. Yes, it was that bad I entertained myself by thinking of slightly rude words.

I read one of the Jack Reacher books, can't remember which one. It was appalling. He's a caricature rather than a character. I laughed out loud several times during it, which I'm pretty sure wasn't Lee Child's intention. So no, won't be rushing off to see that one. Tom Cruise is just creepy anyway. The Scientology thing has engulfed any talent he had as an actor; all I see now when I watch him in anything is Tom Cruise the Brainwashed Fruitcake, not whatever character he's meant to be playing.

That's putting it more eloquently than I did, a caricature is a perfect way of describing him. I wish someone else had seen it, just so we can discuss how bad it was!

The odeon cinema does half price entry on a Wednesday, so we go as often as we can. Life of Pi next week, or maybe Les Mis.

The earlier Jack Reacher books are good, I'm actually quite a fan when I want an easy quick non-taxing read. I won't go and see the film though, it's the worst casting I can think of. In all the books Reacher is described as over 6ft, a beast of a man with incredible strength so they cast Tom Cruise...

Because the dog dragged me a bit down a hill on our walk yesterday my right thigh is so sore today! Glad I went for a long walk yesterday because it's just rotten out today. Maybe will use the Wii Fit later on and stay warm and dry
