Yep that's exactly it! If you intend getting married in a registry office I would do it asap as they can book up pretty quickly. If you're thinking of a civil ceremony somewhere outside a registry office then you pay the registrar's expenses as well. It can take a while to get appointment depending on your area so I'd ring sooner rather than later. Any other questions drop me a PM if you like, it's still pretty fresh in my memory
