I cycled this morning in Dublin at around 8am. I have had wetter commutes - think I missed the really heavy stuff.

Roads waterlogged with plenty of pooling - just need to take it handy!

I cycled this morning from D15 to city centre at 06:00. Rain was pretty relentless for the first half but had eased somewhat by the time I got to the office. A lot of spot flooding with water across the entire road in parts and with depths of up to 10cm it was a serious soaking. That said there was no real wind and it was very mild so quite enjoyable especially as traffic was so quiet.

Happy to post in here this morning. Got up early, had a look out at the damp blustery day, and went and made a coffee instead 😀

After a poxy day working, I went out for a 40km spin yesterday on the Orro (with 55mm aero wheels). It was very wet, very windy but also surprisingly warm which meant I was out in a storm dressed as if it were July. Strava has the wind speeds at 51.8km/h but my Garmin was showing it at 60km/h.

Surprisingly, I only managed one PB but my excuses were the huge beating from sidewinds going past gates and an ongoing Di2 niggle. Oh and the twigs and small branches lining the roads. Thoroughly enjoyable cycle though!
