Did anyone else that's given bank details get an email about when the money will be lodged into their account?

No I never got an email, did you get one??

Got mine thankfully. Only right too I suppose considering I applied the day it went live (18 weeks ago now!) and had all the documentation in months ago.

Those wondering why you didn't get a payment for September, it's because there never is a September payment. It starts in October and runs for 9 months so the final payment is always in June.

Good luck to everyone waiting on their payment, I hope you get sorted ASAP.

Oct - May is only 8 months
Just spoke to a guy at sussi helpdesk. Their system crashed for processing payments. Half went through, other half haven't. We put bank details in Monday. Says should check the bank again over the next few days, that the other payments should go through......

Did you mean we only got one payment and will get another, or only half the payments to people went through?

I can't check my bank to see if I got mine cos I left my log in details in college. :(

    OMG

I just sent them an email; sick of ringing them, especially when I am calling from the UK.

Hi MJT, I was just on the phone with them a couple of days ago. They said that a letter will be out before Friday next week stating the amount of money I am entitled to and it will also ask for my bank details. But my financial circumstances are different to yours though. For example, I didn't have to send in a P21 because I have never worked before. So I don't know if the time frame would be different for both of us because of our differing circumstances. :D:D

    Hi,
Im a first year undergrad student at UCD and i was wondering if anyone else was having difficulty with the SUSI Grant?

Applied really early and sent my evidence (P21's etc..) away in Early August and not a peep out of them!

Rang and they say they havent even looked at my stuff and it'll be another 5-6 weeks before the bother. (not their exact words but whatever. :P )

Another friend called and they told her four months?? CRAZY!

One of my friends hackled them for ages, calling every day until eventually they said gowan..have the grant! (Again, not their exact words :P)

Just cant believe that this new "improved" system is so terrible?!

Anyone else having trouble with them..or heard back??

Previously they were both dealt with locally. Grants by councils and vecs and medical cards by local health centres. They centralised the applications.

It was so much easier to blame it on Them. It was bleakly depressing to think that They were Us. If it was Them, then nothing was anyone's fault. If it was us, what did that make Me? After all, I'm one of Us. I must be. I've certainly never thought of myself as one of Them. No one ever thinks of themselves as one of Them. We're always one of Us. It's Them that do the bad things.

Hey guys, I sent away my final course acceptance form on Thursday, 27th September, still nothing back,

Does anybody know if I'll get a letter/e-mail soon and if I can send them my details when it comes Via phonecall or E-mail? (To save time).

Another question, anybody know what's the maximum they are offering this year? I heard its been reduced, as last year my friend was getting €270 per month. And I'm in the same situation as him, only finished school, not working etc. thanks

When you get the letter you'll be asked to put in your bank details online so don't worry about that part.

I qualified for the full maintenance grand (non-adjacent) which is €1215 in total and works out as €135 per month.

Got the letter Yesterday Morning saying I need to send them my bank details. Anybody know if I can do this by phone? And another thing,

Does this mean that I'll get the money lodged into my account within the next week or two, or does it mean ill have to wait for double next month??

It better not be next month cos I put mine in last Wednesday and have nothing yet.. If it's next month I'll be dropped out and all by then cos my accommodation money is due and I have like €30 to my name right now.. :( This is really really annoying..

I was told I would be paid yesterday or today. But no. Of course I'm still broke. I'm getting the Special Rate of Maintenance Grant which works out at 600 a month. My rent is due this week - 320 - I have 30 in my bank account. I was told that I would be paid for September and October then hours later, was told I wouldn't be paid for September, that payment comes in June - When I'm no even in college anymore?!

I'm so sick of Ireland and it's crap government schemes that I'm applying to colleges in the UK. I'm so broke, and so is my family, that I've considered dropping out - which wouldn't have happened if they paid me on time like they said they would. I am heartbroken and stressed.

Rang SUSI once again just there.

The guy told me, SUSI has not paid out anything yet, but will be at the end of Oct, and it is back dated to September for 9 months.
He also said that I should be expecting a confirmation letter or something that confirms my direct debit has been set up, this is based on a call from SUSI to your uni/college to check that you are attending.

So at the end of Oct, but he couldn't tell me what date exactly.

I was told by a lady that half of them went out on Friday and that the system crashed (of course) so the rest were being paid over Monday and Tuesday and that I'd get an email saying that I'd been paid. I don't know what's taking them so long, they really need to cop the **** on!

I rang today and a guy said there has been no talks on a set date and they definitely weren't being sent out and was amazed that I'd been told this. I can't ****ing wait to leave this country.
